Yale & Brown @ RPI & Union (11/6, 11/7)

Re: Yale & Brown @ RPI & Union (11/6, 11/7)

Sadly I must once again register my annual complaint at the lack of selection of RPI hockey apparel available for purchase at games. While it's gotten to the point where I don't usually bother to look any more, I did stop the other night... Not a single item -- not at hat, shirt, sweatshirt or flip-flop -- had the word hockey on them anywhere.

While I have come to terms with never finding a hat to fit my melon-shaped head (all of RPI's hats are yarmulke sized), I don't think asking for an item or two that actually contains the word h-o-c-k-e-y is too much to ask? Maybe I'll mention it to Shirley when I see her at the Aretha concert...:D

While you talking to her, maybe you can find out why there is no picture of Eric Healey in the "Engineers in the NHL" showcase.
I know that he only played two games for the Bruins, but that counts.
Lets get his picture up there.

You have to go back lots of years to find a time that they had a good selection at the games. I can recall back in the 80's when even visiting teams had stuff for sale at the Xmas tournament-Jenny and I have Notre Dame and Air Force sweatshirts from back then. It is certainly time to update the stuff available.

I forgot to ask -- did anyone spot our new AC on the job last weekend?

He's pretty easy to spot and yes he was there.

And yes, I too am greatly disappointed with the merch. The baseball caps are sort of OK, but where the hell are the toques with Puckman on them? I know Puckman is taboo and all, but give me a break here.

And maybe a more current photo of Pothier...last time I checked they had him in an Atlanta uniform.

Is he the only one missing?

OK Good - I was beginning to wonder if the Canadien authorities were detaining him....:D No signof him on the athletics site, but they'll catch up. As long as he is working with the team, its all good.

"At least"? You don't actually expect me to root for Union to win? Softening them up will be fine.

Honestly I don't care if Union wins or not. I have a friend that works there, so maybe I'd rather seem them win more often then not when they aren't playing the men of Troy and especially when they are playing the boys of Potsdam or the flopping fish of <strike>Pyongyang</strike> Ithaca.

Ben Barr?

I had a feeling this day would come where I actually agree with RC. :D:eek:
Well, not me...and especially on this topic. :D

For me, this is almost like Yankees fans rooting for the Red Sox to win (or vice versa) at any point of the year. I can maybe see it when the team your rival is playing is close to you in the standings, but I'd only consider that late in the year.

Hi folks. It's been forever since I went to a game (and even longer since I posted here). Someone remind me how Black Friday works at the fieldhouse? Is it anyone wearing black gets in free? Or only students?

Also, anyone know the parking situation these days, with the ECAV up there now? Should I just plan on arriving early and parking on 15th and making the trek up?

I always suggest parking on Peoples and then walking up to HFH. Lots of open space there.

Wearing black is always asked of the fans but you don't get in free. If they're wearing black when purchasing tickets, students can get a free ticket to go along with it as well.

Much obliged for the info.
