I decided to look at the 1958 World Cup to see who played (16 teams including, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and I noticed that substitutions were not permitted. Hmmm.. A little looking around on Wiki and I found that substitutions were not allowed in the World Cup Final until 1970.

And it was only one sub until the 90’s. Red and yellow cards didn’t appear until 1970 as well.

yes, everything is on the 2nd leg...all that is left after this is the 2nd leg of the inter-continental playoffs which are tomorrow.

The kids get a 1-1 draw against the kids from Portugal. Kids got playing time and experience, that’s all that matters. Welcome to the next 18 months of US Soccer.

Altidore suspension upheld. He'll miss game one of the EC Finals.

Straight Red cards in Europe are 3 games but just one here???

There's some talk the US may actually host an NIT.
