Let's see. SAF getting banned for 5 games. Rooney getting suspended for cursing. The first Chelsea game where Vidic got sent off. I think the FA tried making an example of United, but it didn't work. However, City did win the Cup because Rooney was banned. Keep drinking the Haterade peeps.

Seriously, nobody cares about your gripes. Nobody. At all.

For all of the grief Villa gets over not taking advantage of transfers, Bent has turned out to be a brilliant pickup. When you figure they had Carew getting a lot of time with Gabby out hurt, the switch between Carew to Bent has been successful to put it mildly

Safe to say that Bent saved you from the Championship (the league not the title.)

Check this out. Great goal from FIFA 11, and a near perfect mirror of Rooney's Bicycle from earlier this year:

Re: Norwich City back in the Premier League!

Re: Norwich City back in the Premier League!

Wish list for this weekend:

Blackpool defeats Manchester Utd.
Birmingham loses to Spurs
Wigan loses to Stoke

This way, Blackpool stays up, Birmingham and Wigan go down. I guess I have no strong feelings about Wigan (although their relegation pretty much means that Tottenham gets into the Europa League at Liverpool's expense, which I can live with), but I do love the idea that a club like Birmingham can be relegated AND qualify for European competition.

With that fixture remaining, I think Blackpool's only hope of survival is that Blues and Wigan also lose and they land in 17th on goal difference (which is within the realm of possibility). Then again, miracles have happened before, such as when Bradford stayed up on the last day of the 1999-2000 season by winning 1-0 at home to Liverpool. Then again, that may have been a road to a bigger cliff for the Bantams, who have had financial problems for a decade and are now in League 2.

Blackpool does have the fact that United has the Champions League Final next week. So SAF may want to rest some of his players and the avoid the FA dragnet. :D

While true you probably won't see many first team players from United, lets face it, they can roll out a pretty darn good second team. I was hoping for this type of thing a few years ago when Hull was in the same situation. United still won with Hull only staying up because everyone else in the relegation battle lost as well.

Is it really that hard to not open your yap about an official before the game? Just say that it doesn't matter, ask for the next question. Do that, avoid fines. Not terribly difficult.

If Mancini got in trouble, you'd be crying about how unfair it is. Refs are often getting too much crap and not enough praise. If you read it, Ancelloti got fined and that was wrong too. What's Webb gonna do? Give a PK because someone said something nice?

No, I wouldn't. Again, it's pretty much impossible to make the rule any simpler. Just don't talk about the dang referee. Is this really a difficult concept for SAF to master? He's 69 years old, has won countless trophies, and yet he can't act like an adult for 20 seconds? Please.

And yes, I totally think nice words can have an impact on the referee. Saying "Webb always screws us" is just as harmful as saying "Webb never screws us" because it plants the idea in people's mind that the referee may not be neutral. Or worse, it plants the idea in the referees mind that he has a reputation to either live up to or run away from.
