Uruguay a decent path to quarterfinals it would appear.

Ireland got screwed against France.

But then again, Ireland couldn't find a way to defeat Bulgaria or Montenegro and barely got by powerhouses like Georgia and Cyprus, so forgive me if I can't manage to work up a tear and mourn how they deserve to be at the World Cup.

That's like saying England got screwed by that ref in the Russia match saying the foul was in the box for qualification for Euro 2008.

If England had just beat Macedonia, it wouldn't have mattered. If they had, no one would have cared about that bad call. Or Scott Carson.

I'm sorry if people are really this upset. I'll back off, but it's nice to see those entitled prima donnas go home. I'd so love it if Italy got sent packing too.

I'd love to see France get sent home, too. But Ireland sucked for a significant portion of their qualifying campaign and (mostly) underachieved. All of that got forgotten when Henry handled the ball. I just don't see it being some sort of grave injustice that a mediocre, underachieving side got left home in favour of another mediocre, underachieving side.

South Korea has the GS advantage over Greece 3-2. If you're Greece, you're hoping for a draw against Argentina and a Nigeria win.

Maybe he thought their player flopped on the red card? (Didn't see it)

Also, I have no problem rooting for a team with Messi, especially how he's performed so far.

A Uruguay-SK/Greece matchup doesn't have much appeal though

Guy didn't flop at all. In fact when the guy was red carded the RSA players were trying to help him up. No one knew what the heck was happening.

For the USA fans who didn't think Dempsey's elbow was a red, this was basically the same exact thing: red.

You are the fan I have a problem with. People who just love seeing cards being handed out like speeding tickets for anything and everything.
