It's such a shame that one of these teams had to lose in a shootout. They deserve better. Everybody deserves better.

I feel (a little) for the Canadian players... so much pressure is on them.
Their international hockey fans are some of the most insufferable in all of sports though. Suck it *****es.

That was a tremendous game. Nice to win but both countries/teams can feel pretty proud about that one.
What a tournament this ended up being for the Americans. Two wins each over Canada and Russia. Now we get to defend the title in Buffalo.

Agreed. I think the only way we can understand is (for those who remember) after the Hank Iba fiasco in the '72 olympics where the US basketball team lost not only the gold but their first GAME EVER. It's a complete obsession up there. Look at the way their players are crying.

The Canadian timeout was perfectly placed for me to switch over and see the OT winner.
