Poland own-goaling itself is very fitting.

thats on the Ref for poor timing on letting the Senegal player on the field...how is the Poland guy suppose to know he's back?
Yeah I mean I know little about the rule details, but that's screwed up. It's like if in hockey the ref just let someone out of the penalty box at a random time and got a breakaway.

This is what I saw. Poland heads the ball up field 20 yards, referee waves player on (from the half line where he’s supposed to be), Senegal clears ball out, Poland passes back. There’s no way the referee is at fault there. It looked like the ref waved him on just before the pass back. Probably should've waited until they had set up deeper in the Senegal zone, but that was a perfect storm.
Why is there a Polish kid wearing a giant Native American headdress?

Perfect storm and not paying attention by the Polish defense.so just a perfect storm? Just seems crappy. I'm not sure how the DM is suppose to realize that guy is back on at that exact moment?
The role of the FIFA commissioner as FIFA's official representative at a match is of paramount importance. He is the authority responsible for ensuring that the match is properly organised and runs smoothly. The commissioner shall be absolutely objective and his behaviour invariably reflect this principle.

Oh **** off, play was moving towards that Senegal’s goal, in the middle third, almost the attacking third, and the player was at midfield when the referee waved him on. It’s not the referee’s fault the Polish player decided to play the ball back and the Polish defense forgot that player existed.Incorrect. The referee should not be waiving a player on behind the opposition's outside back and even with the last defender. It is incumbent on the official to ensure play has either stopped or has transitioned toward the middle third so the player is entering into the relative middle of the opposition's formation.
So basically you want a team to play down player until they a) have possession and b) said possession must be in the attacking third, all because a player needed treatment? No.A player doesn't have a right to enter the field at any point they want, and the opposition is not obligated to adjust their play in order to accommodate the reentry.
The referee should not be bringing a player on behind the defense of the opposition. Period. It was a mistake by the official.

Maybe if the Polish midfielder doesn’t karate kick that ball 10 yards past his defense that goal doesn’t happen, how about that?
