Yeah, I've had the same concerns. The implementation really bothers me. Not sure how you do it in a game with a running clock and no scheduled pauses. I think VAR should be limited to goals and stoppages. Review red cards at the next stoppage, don't interrupt play. I don't like them calling it for penalties after the fact.
One thing i don't like about VAR is they just blew the play dead while South Korea was on a counter attack. So what happens if you review and no penalty is given? You just denied the other team a chance.
