Got it in 2 today. I got lucky, just filling in a word that uses a lot of more commonly used letters.
I got it in 6 today only because I work with that word all the time, and I’d burned through all the common letters after having secured the first three.

5/6. Tough one today. I don't care for those types of words. But at a certain point it was the only actually possible word left for me.

Last week's Riddler Classic puzzle https://fivethirtyeight.com/features...er-met-wordle/ deals with what strategy should be followed to figure out Wordle in at most 3 guesses. (The Classic puzzle is the second one included.)
The answer was published today https://fivethirtyeight.com/features...rfect-wedding/. The optimal choice is to pick TRACE as your first guess. The second choice depends upon the results of the first selection, and there are 3^5=243 results one can get for the first. These are all shown. Thankfully, they did not include what you should do for each of the possibilities that could then occur.
