Wolverines vs Broncos

Game one done- Michigan 4, Western 3.
Heck of a game- Michigan all first, Western second, and enough of Michigan in the third. Wow.
Side question- Bronco fans- why do you think you are not so popular in KZoo? You are a good team, have excellent student support, and are last year's CCHA champ. On top of that for this season, this loss is just your third of the season. I know the past, Lawson has been packed- what changed?
It's a combination of things:
1. For some idiotic reason, we don't include playoff tickets in the season packages
2. Early start doesn't help
3. TV game doesn't help
4. Students don't have to pay in the regular season, so they would rather spend the $5 on a red solo cup than a ticket to a hockey game
I'm ****ed. Knew it was coming, but ****, I'm ****ed

I wasn't in attendance today... but listening to the game it sounded as though this series is going to be exactly what everyone expected.
I hope we can carry it to game 3... from there whatever happens happens...
Lawson is normally a packed house these days... it's disappointing to hear that didn't have much of a crowd!

Not that much better.
And, I know you're not conceding the series already; but, I think WMU can turn things around with some defensive and offensive adjustments for tomorrow. Murray and the team are capable of that.
I still see a game three, but who knows.
Better team won tonight.

Great game tonight.
In regards to #1 I think that will soon change with the rise of your program. How many playoff series have you hosted before 2010ish? Now that you are relevant, I think that you will host many series. However, with the CCHA dieing after this season I'm not sure how your new conference will run things?
#2- Early start times do suck, we found that out last week.
#3- TV was why I didn't go tonight, I live in Ann Arbor though (and it's not like I'm a Western fan either) but I "should" go tomorrow with no TV.

Students are back from spring break. It's typical playoff attendance because playoff games are not included in season ticket packs, so many people do not buy them for all 3 games. Students who usually get in free have to pay now. Did you see Ohio State's attendance last night? 700+!

I was cautiously picking Western in 3 for this series but felt strongly that WMU needed to win Friday night. I think Murray's comments after the 2nd period summed it up. He said Western needed to get more pucks on net like Michigan did. Michigan has not had the best goaltending this year so that should be a given. And he said that their (Western's) goaltending had to live up to past results. I watched the game on TV and did not think it did. Slubowski has to play very well tonight or it will be over.
I think Racine is gaining confidence by knowing he can give up 3 or 4 and his team can score 4 or 5. A few weeks ago, bracketology had WMU has a 2/3 seed for the NCAA. If they lose this series they will still be in but as a #4 seed going somewhere they don't want to be playing a #1 they don't want in the first round.

ohio was playing in their practice rink. That entire series is there because Value City Arena is hosting a High School boys bouncy-ball tournament this weekend. That and hockey has never been that big of a deal in ohio...

I was also watching Vermont v BC, and nobody was there, too.
Not a student section, but the entire thing. Seemed odd which is why I was asking.

That, I'm sure of. I'm wondering of the change of status for other teams if Michigan becomes a TUC and changes their PWR (or if it does).
