Anyone know the prognosis for Gorbatenko's injury?
Reposting from last Wednesday:

An article from Todd Milewski up [last Wednesday] about Kelly Gorbatenko and her fractured hand. It sounds like she's out until at least after the two bye weeks coming up. So at least until St Thomas, Nov 14th.

"[Gorbatenko] didn't give an exact timeline on her projected return, saying she'd need further X-rays before being cleared by doctors."

No reason to rush her back. I thought it was quite dumb to have her out in warm-ups last weekend.

She only dressed to be supportive of the team... she was never hitting the ice for a shift.
This weekend at St. Cloud will be without K. Gorbatenko, Tremblay, Potter, McNaughton and Sapovalivova.
St. Cloud will be missing players as well and they can't afford that in the least.

Will this be the last series Tremblay will miss this season? Also, for Potter?

College hockey has to have a talk with Canada about its scheduling for tournaments. They easily could schedule their stuff during season's lulls. Given the importance for them to play in international events, their requests should carry some weight. Interesting that US players aren't affected, or am I missing something? OSU and other teams in WCHA have key players from Scandinavian which may complicate the situation, but I can't believe the situation is immutable.

Lest I forget, the Badgers and other WCHA teams are not the only college team with players from Chechia and Slovakia. And next season, the Badgers have one from Germany. If something isn't done soon to come to an agreement on scheduling, the situation may create chaos for college hockey, and especially for the players, as the European teams currently not engaged in the international events become part of them also. College hockey currently has a lull over the yearend holidays that could be used for international play, and others could be added if necessary to eliminate conflicts. Heck, even now players frequently are playing during lulls in conference schedules. I don't think you need AI to figure out the options.

IIHF moved the worlds to accommodate the PWHL schedule.

So, there is no way to schedule Canada's international needs in which the schedules for the PWHL and colleges can be coordinated to eliminate disruptions for players in both? Given stretches like the one In December of no WCHA games, I find that hard to believe.

Hell, the US and Canada are the prime teams, and the scheduling issue seems to be only Canada's as I don't recall it impacting US players (unless I am missing something). Canada and the US should leverage that. And it probably would be good to resolve the issue before the numbers for players from other countries (e.g., Chechia, Slovakia, etc.) add to it.

Again, it's all now about the PWHL.
They will not tolerate any disruptions to their league schedule and the IIHF has bowed down and conceded it to them.
The IIHF has NO regard for the disruptions their schedules cause the NCAA nor do USA Hockey or Hockey Canada.
The three could care less about the NCAA when their National Teams are involved.
