As I understand it, it's the coaches that vote on all of this. Milani's really good so I have no qualms about her leading the preseason. Especially on matters of the coaches voting on players, I find it best to shrug it off since they know best and we'll see what happens on the ice once play starts. Hopefully Nela ends up playing better and wins the honor after the season. It's really weird seeing us flying somewhat under the radar. Or at least, as 'under the radar' as a team with 9 natties realistically can, haha

The question would be 'do coaches actually make these choices, or do they hand the task off to some sports information person?'. AJ Harrison, for example.

Actually this is great for UW. Muzzy can't say they were disrespected. They have to defend their greatness right out of the gate when they play the Badgers. It puts the pressure on them in a sense even though preseason polls and accolades are nonsense.
