Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2026-27

As I understand it, it's the coaches that vote on all of this. Milani's really good so I have no qualms about her leading the preseason. Especially on matters of the coaches voting on players, I find it best to shrug it off since they know best and we'll see what happens on the ice once play starts. Hopefully Nela ends up playing better and wins the honor after the season. It's really weird seeing us flying somewhat under the radar. Or at least, as 'under the radar' as a team with 9 natties realistically can, haha

Maybe put some chips on shoulders.

I like our team and am excited to see the new faces and the returnees and their progression.

Single game tix? Has it always been this late? Nothing on the men's side either.

The question would be 'do coaches actually make these choices, or do they hand the task off to some sports information person?'. AJ Harrison, for example.

(Nothing against AJ; he'd be way more qualified than me! LOL)
 
"Pre-sale" for tickets at Lambeau started this morning, and if the TicketMaster web site is to be believed, initial sales are going pretty well.

Pricing is expensive, and 'odd'. 'Center ice' sections are $100 for lower rows - nearer the playing field - then get more expensive in the middle of the section, $160, then go back down in price higher up, $120. Because sight lines are better in the middle of the sections? Similar in other sections: $80, $130, $100 away from center ice; $55, $85, $55 in the corners.

The diagram on the web site shows the rink at dead center of the field; not offset to one end zone or the other, and apparently no 'on the field' seating'.

(For the time being, I think I'll pass.)

I had no idea they'd be that expensive. Does 1 ticket get you into both games?
 
The games in Columbus to open WCHA play will provide info about the relative strengths of the two teams at the start of the season. Even if the Buckeyes sweep, hopefully it will show promising prospects for the Badgers going forward. The Badgers have a wealth of potential talent that may take a while to solidify; hopefully the final season matchup will highlight the growth of the team.
