All of my information is received from the three monkeys sitting in front of State Street Brats…… there are you happy now ?
Once they hear that they’ve been compromised of their confidentiality they may not be as forthcoming with the information they have knowledge of.

I hope your happy !!
 
I think we should guess who Bucky B is. I think he's the guy who got the drill bit stuck in the ice while he was drilling out for the goal posts after resurfacing between periods more than a few years ago. It's all coming together! 😂

The backlash about posting something I found interesting and that was shared with me in a very routine, matter of fact conversation, is certainly puzzling.

If it was shared in a routine matter-of-fact conversation, then why not simply say who the conversation was with?

A number of years ago, there was a later season game where Sarah Nurse left the ice in the third period, and didn't return. So people were a little worried. A few days later, I was at Sequoia Library - off-campus - picking up tax forms, and noticed Baylee Wellhausen and another player (Mauermann, maybe?) were also there, studying or whatever. An unlikely location, but there they were. So I went over, said hello, apologized for interrupting, and asked 'How's Nurse doing? Is she OK?' Wellhausen looked at me puzzled, said 'no, she's fine'.

Did I come here to "report confidentially that sources tell me Nurse is good to go next weekend"? No, of course not.

I posted 'Hey I ran into Wellhausen at Sequoia Library, and good news. She said Nurse is A-OK.'

You are making a clown of yourself.

It's not like any of this "inside info" impacts you directly in any way.

You're a fan - nothing more.

I've known people close to the programs over the years and played with some of the women, coached youth with some of the men's coaches and one of the current assistants is an old college buddy of mine.

If they told me something and I chose to pass it on, I certainly don't need to provide you with who told me. And I most definitely wouldn't.

You have agency in this - you can choose to believe what is posted without question or you could do what most people do and take it with a grain of salt as a possibility and see if it actually pans out.

This. I'd probably prefer those with information to perhaps temper their statements "As I understand it, Enright will not be returning to the team next year" as opposed to "Enright won't be back next year" (I believe this matter of fact delivery is what riles many up) - but I come here because I'm looking for information on the team, and I don't expect or demand those posting that information to tailor the message to my liking, and I certainly don't expect them to out someone who told them information. I take everything with a grain of salt - this is a user forum not a news outlet. - All that to say, I appreciate the "insider information" in any method that it's being delivered.


Posting this not to further the 'discussion' but hopefully to placate it.

Coming to a message board like this is supposed to be a little fun diversion while waiting for hockey to begin.

For you it seems to be some pugilistic member measuring contest.

With all that is going right for the sinners women's hockey program these days, it seem odd that it has gotten to this point between certain posters who are fans of this program.

However, for entertainment purposes from an outsinder looking in, I would prefer that you NOT block each other.

Yes! If I find something and I can't recall where I saw it, I just say " rumor on the street is......". Nothing's official until it's official.

I just don't want anybody dropping stuff on the site that says "this person is pissed at this person" or "this person is unhappy."
 
Lambeau certainly had plenty of mystique...for Packer football or even a tour in the off-season. But for other events...meh.

The outdoor hockey thing just isn't appealing in a football stadium where you're 8 miles from the ice.

I even think it's stupid for football. You get a max of seven home games a year at an awesome college football venue. And now we could have had home and home series with LSU and Notre Dame. A road trip to South Bend or Death Valley in Baton Rouge for a true college football road game? Oh, hell yes. Going to the Texans' stadium to watch them play LSU. Hell no.
