Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2025-2026

You two guys constantly whine about the officiating. As a fellow Badger fan, it's embarrassing.

And that was 100% interference. Edwards altered her skating lane to obstruct the opposing player. Easy call.
The only reason it might not have been called is because there was too little time left for the obvious interference to be consequential.

That's fair. They didn't need to make that call from a game management standpoint.

But don't put the official in that position in the first place. Move your feet and play hard to the horn.

It's kind of funny, but I remember not liking Mark Johnson in college when he played for Wisconsin, because when they would come to Duluth he'd usually be a pain in the arse to UMD. But I do respect him as a coach, and always have.
Not just UMD. Those were some fantastic WCHA days and I miss the Men's conference's weekly match ups of those teams. Geno, Herbert, Bob, and the other legendary coaches from that conference era.

What she did was not egregious in comparison all the ignored calls. The officials can't call that and ignore the rest.

What she did is textbook interference. But my point was not really about that play. Or even that game.

We are the Wisconsin Badgers. We've got the most titles, the best players, coaches, facilities, fans, band, you name it. Everyone else in WCH wants what we have, and to be where we are.

So stop whining about nitpicky officiating BS. It's unbecoming. Be better.

JMHO of course.

Should Murphy have gotten a five and a game for what she did to KK last year in the semi's.

And for the thinking those were majors… had they even approached that the teams would have challenged
I have eyes. Those were all very clearly major penalties. As I've already said, I don't know why Kampersal didn't challenge them, but I don't need to rely on that. In particular, the two cheap shots on Desa were egregious. Gorbatenko made a definite spearing motion, and Šapovalivová's kick was also unmistakable, if you watch closely. Don't believe me? Go back and watch. It's late in the third period. It's what caused Desa to be staggering around in the crease, which the broadcasters initially thought was an equipment issue. Kick a bit harder and nail the right place, and we're looking at a Clint Malarchuk situation, except with the femoral instead of the carotid.

Then again, you're an idiot.

Between playing dirty and embellishment/diving, Murphy should be talking to the McMahon’s about a role in WWE. She is a good example of what people who have no scruples get away with.

Harvey had a butt end that should have been called in the 1st period as well. She but ended #20 on psu. Right in front of the players bench. Potter hit Janecke with her stick on the head and nothing was called either. PSU was physical, but not dirty retaliating because they didn’t hustle or got out muscled.
