My pick for OT winner is always Eden. And she almost had it, hit the pipe.Yea. Before the puck drop I was like it’s game over, anyone of these women could end it. Once Simms started dangling…

I wouldn't say that the Olympians don't care. I will say they don't show a burning desire to win. If their talent doesn't care the day, it's a coin toss that will decide whether they'll win or lose.I don't buy that some of them don't care after winning the gold, but I'm not sure what the issue is. Hope they can find 3 (or) more periods of their game to close out the season.
I agreeTWSNBN has its share of Olympians and they have shown spark throughout the Olympic period and since then. Unless a bright light comes on between now and Sunday. I don't like Wisconsin's chances.
I remember not liking him in high-school. Didn't take long to overcome that after. It's kind of funny, but I remember not liking Mark Johnson in college when he played for Wisconsin, because when they would come to Duluth he'd usually be a pain in the arse to UMD. But I do respect him as a coach, and always have.
Kinda petty to hold those kinds of grudges. Amazing how some people get over things and others don't.I remember not liking him in high-school. Didn't take long to overcome that after.
Was it really that hard to make that prediction?Pretty brilliant move by MJ to challenge for that major. He left the big guns get a nice long rest before the power play. Once it got tied I said to my wife and daughter that KK or Simms needs to be the hero.
I think some are being overly critical with the team. A couple of points:But... the elephant in the room...
This team is not really clicking on all cylinders and haven't been since the players returned from the Olympics.

Not at all, but up to that point the both of them had maybe 2 grade A looks total that never ended up with a shot on goal and that was disappointing. Was it really that hard to make that prediction?
I'm not "down on the team" but I do think tOSU is playing better right now and therefore should be considered the favorites.I think some are being overly critical with the team. A couple of points:
So in summary, I don't think we need to be so down on this team and think we are underdogs on Sunday. Clean up the penalties and I like our chances. After all we are defending champs and have beaten OSU 3 out of 5 times this year. Lots of negativity on this board for a team with 34 wins playing for yet again another natty.
- Olympians scored all 4 goals last night. Ava after letting in soft goals on the 1st 2 shots was phenomenal the rest of the game. So the Olympians certainly are performing. Adele has been especially good since coming back
- KK might be the 1 Olympian that could say hasn't quite been the same. Teams have been able to get under her skin with some of the cheap shots on her. She has had the weight of the world on her shoulders through the Olympic period being the player considered to be the best in the world and having huge expectations on her. I could see where she is battling both a bit of mental and physical fatigue.
- Wisconsin had 5 Olympians, 4 in the US team. OSU had 5 also, but only 1 on the US team. The US Olympians had a much longer string of intense games than players from other countries, so I can see the Badger Olympians being a little fatigued
- I don't think the team "is not really clicking on all cylinders and haven't been since the players returned." They thoroughly beat Minnesota State in the WCHA semis and absolutely hammered Quinnipiac in the NCAA quarterfinals. They lead OSU with 5 minutes left in the WCHA championship. They outshot PSU last night 35-25. PSU was playing the biggest game of program history with a talented group of seniors playing in front of the biggest home crowd ever.
Amazing that someone can't read the entire post and can't comprehend what it says.Kinda petty to hold those kinds of grudges. Amazing how some people get over things and others don't.
