Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2025-2026

Maybe it was like this last year, but 15 bucks for WCHA playoff tickets plus a $7 fee is up there. But when you're an addict, you'll pay whatever the price is to get your jam, as long as the uniforms are not black LOL.
I checked my credit card statements from last year. There's a charge for $48 dollars for WCHA tickets, and that could be for two or three sets for the two games. I have a friend who hasn't been able to get season tickets of his own, so when the announcements go out to season ticket holders, I get tickets for him and his wife. But I don't recall if she was along for the WCHA games. So for two or three sets, (And no way to tell how much that was 'service fees', etc.

While I was looking, I also checked for the NCAA quarterfinal games (the $#7 vs #8 was included). I'm sure that was for three, and the cost was $51.

FYI

Sunday game at 11??? Yikes. I recall having to do that a few years ago, go there right after church, except we got there pretty late, so it was slim picking for seating spots. This time I will be able to keep the normal timing. The big question is where will Maddy want to sit this time? I think she'll want to be back on the glass. We shall see.

We'll be at the Friday game next week and I hope they do something to recognize the Olympians.

I feel like they can't do stuff like that in an NCAA tourney game but would imagine they can for WCHA playoffs.

Yeah the NCAA thing is completely neutral aside from having home ice advantage lol so they would not be able to honor anybody prior to that game.

It's hitting me hard this morning that this is the last regular season weekend series. The Olympics are quite the distraction. I'm a little verklempt.

My impression/criticism of Bradshaw as a ref was that he'd have one game on the weekend when he'd call everything, and then the next game he'd call nothing. Or vice versa. As if he'd gotten a phone call from the league office overnight, or something.

He's gotten better over the last couple years, but today was a 'call nothing' game, so be ready for a 'call everything' game tomorrow.

I don't think I've ever witnessed the game where UW scored nine goals and only three players scored goals. And I also don't believe I've seen a four goal game by a player. Last one to do that was......?

Completely shocking how the Badgers completely dismantled St. Cloud. UW's compete level was out of this world.

Eden is the most underappreciated star UW has ever had. I think we've all become numb to her awesomeness. Only the fourth Badger to score 100 goals in a career, with an extra season of course.

The team also got my memo about not getting killed in face-offs in game one. They absolutely destroyed St Cloud in the face off circle.

- Eden's COVID season was only 15 games, having only enrolled/transferred at Christmas. But she has also played a whole lot of post-season games. Counting today, she has played in 173 games, with - we hope - eight more to go. That would put her at 181 total. The most ever is O'B at 183, followed by Britta Curl at 179. Six other COVID era players in the 170s. The most non-COVID is a tie at 163 between Erica Lawler and Angie Keseley; both played 2006-2010, meaning also a whole lot of post-season games.

- The answer to who the other three to get 100 goals is completely guess-able: Knight, Decker and Duggan. Those who finished in the 90s are Brooke Ammerman with 98, O’B with 97, and Annie Pankowski with 96

- One five goal game in Badger history, by who else? Hilary Knight.

- Today was the 10th ever Badger four goal game. Last one (unless there was another this year, and I looked, none vs Stonehill) was Laila vs St Thomas in Jan of 2024. Interestingly, looking at the list of those four-goal games: Knight has none, Decker has none, Duggan has none ... and Brooke Ammermann has three of them. LOL

- Only once has Wisconsin had three players get a hat trick in the same game; September of 2023 vs Lindenwood. Eden with three, Sophie Helgeson with three, and Cassie Hall with four. Nine players in all scored, final was 16-1. Today, a little bit before Eden got her 4th, Pieckenhagen had a really good look at what would have been her third.

I throw Robert a pitch right down the middle of the plate and he always hits a home run....

I'm surprised I forgot about the Hall four goal game against Lindenwood, but it was overshadowed by Helgesen's mega mega mega unlikely hat trick in that game.

We sat down of the glass and you really get a sense of the intensity of the play.

It was really funny/sad when Eden went to skate into the glass at the end of the game to knock the empty booze cans over and there were none! She just skated over and tapped the glass with her shoulder. 🤣. It was also very appropriate that she was the top star of the game, even though the Tankster had 4 in the game. Classy.

It was great to get Baker in the game. She had a couple three really nice saves too.

You called it. Him and Pone don't know what tripping is though.

Former recruit Holloway is a 3rd line C for the Huskies. She seems to be playing angry.

Who scored the goal in the intro montage s curving through maroon players in an empty amziol arena? I'd like to see that further.

So much for not knowing the men's gold medal results until I watched later today...🤬🤪😆🤣🇺🇲

Jones' white stick is a beauty.
I feel for the Canadian who went for the stick poke that led to the US goal. Split second decision, instinct even; and if he gets it, they're probably two-on-none attacking the US goal. Hero to goat in the blink of an eye.
