Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2025-2026

Random question of the day: On the official Badger women's hockey site, the national championship celebration video is posted as the second story down. The photo there shows a player with dark hair and a significant brace on her right leg, looking out onto the empty rink. Who is it? And don't look to me for the answer! It's been driving me nuts not to recognize this player.
My guess is Katie Kotlowski.

(And the "significant brace" looks to be little more than a neoprene leg sleeve. Some support, reduce swelling, etc. I've seen volleyball players wear one during a match any number of times, including this year; UW setter Charlie Fuerbringer wore something like that a couple weeks ago, when she had a slight knee problem.)

I just looked at the 24 25 roster and I'm going with Kotlowski as well.

You think it's Katie in that photo? Wasn't Katie always blond? But, of course, we know that color is just a temporary state sometimes for young women. I'll accept that it's Katie because, honestly, I was stumped.

FYI - I'm currently attempting to buy some single-game tickets, however, the dates don't all match the published schedule. I just got off the phone with the ticket office and they say that the dates on their website are correct, not the ones on the published schedule.

I spent 25 minutes on the phone with them, fighting through "errors" and "crashes" on their end to get my admittedly complicated order through (I had to call because I never got an email allowing me in to the pre-sale, to enter the order myself; a friend and his wife can't get season tickets, and wanted "1 or 2" tickets for varying games).

Besides the inconsistent dates, the "information" page about single-game tickets says they would be for general admission only. But on the phone and at a different web page, today they're saying reserved seats are also available. Is that an indication that the sale of reserved didn't go as well as they expected it would?

And, weirdly, three weekends weren't available at all today - Duluth, Bemidji, St Cloud. No explanation as to why was given. Single-seat sale for those will happen "later".

Always an adventure dealing with the UW ticket office...

------------

At 9:47. the email opening the "9 AM pre-sale" to me arrived. That web page says the sale of Duluth tickets will happen on October 1st, with Bemidji and St Cloud happening on Nov 4th. "Dates subject to change".

LOL!

I think they are waiting to set game times because of basketball scheduling. I am glad that they updated the calendar with most of the game times. Now I know I can make the 6 p.m. Minnesota game on Halloween and then run to the Field House to see the volleyball team play Nebraska at 8 p.m.

It makes no sense that some tickets are available now and some are not. It's not based on sequential dates or based on whether or not times have been established. And the availability dates are all different! You couldn't make this any harder if you tried.

I was online at noon to buy tix (no longer a donor or season ticket holder in any sport) and kept getting "Oops - there was an error processing your request."

Figured maybe the system was overloaded so I called the ticket office and was on hold for a bit but ended up getting the games I wanted - Maine 1, Rodents 2 and tOSU2.

Usually I dick around and wait and the good matchups are sold out by the time I go for tix so I'm excited for this slate that we have.

Was a priority to get to see Harvey in person again before she's done. Have never seen one like her before - just jumps off the ice at you.

Unfortunately, we'll "get to see" the goon Murphy again too.

And the Mercenaries.

Sports hate keeps me warm at night. ;)

KK HAS to win the PK this year. There has never been a D like her in women's hockey. Ever.

What Little MS Sassy Pants did to KK in the froze 4 last year was despicable. She should get booed every time she touches the puck and a 4th liner should line her up and crush her. Hard.

Looks like the Men's B25 BB schedule drops tomorrow, so then we'll get to find out where the women's hockey games get slotted in.

The games are on Friday, 10/10 and Saturday, 10/11. No game on Sunday, 10/12. But the times for the two games are not posted yet either.
My understanding is that the Saturday 10-11 game (which competes with homecoming) has been moved to Sunday, per the ticket office dates posted by ToeDrag, above. But all of this is chaos at this point . . . .

Hey Timothy, hope everything is OK after the tornado.
Follow up to this, the siding was finished yesterday, the roof was done a month ago. We only ended up short out of our own pockets $3900 because our siding color is still being made after 17 years and hasn't faded at all, so we re-did the front of the house (west side) and then recycled good west pieces onto the south where it needed it. The north and east had no siding damage from the hail. We were looking at $12000 out of pocket otherwise.

The schedule page still says Friday/Saturday. The single-game ticket sale page says Friday/Saturday for the first game, and Sunday for the second game.
