When the partnership between WCHA and BTN-Plus was announced last year, it was referred to as a "three year deal". So every reason to assume this year will be the same as last; all games played at a WCHA team rink should be available on BTN Plus
 
The Hockey News rated Harvey the #3 player on the planet that is 23 and under. Eden is #8, Compher #14. Harvey is probably the most anticipated non-transfer player to come to UW since......? Evah?

School is in session, practice has started and Robert is watching live volleyball games now. This is getting real. But no parking assignments yet.

These games @ PSU against another B18 team are a great opportunity for the B18 to showcase women's hockey on TV. Thursday night won't bump into any football for sure, I don't know about Friday. That being said, they could but they never utilize all these alternate channels they have to show niche sports like women's hockey and volleyball.

The good news for Gargoyle is that the Penn State and Lindenwood series both show on the "upcoming" event schedule for BTN-Plus. The bad news for Tim is that when something is going to air on BTN proper, it usually (never?) does not show on the BTN-Plus "upcoming" schedule (though a replay of it becomes available a day or so afterward). That Penn State vs Wisconsin is showing on the BTN-Plus schedule means it likely won't be on BTN proper.

Once you've signed up, you should be able to go back and find games previously shown games from prior years (though how much may depend on which subscription options you choose?). That is, any Wisconsin game form past years, and/or any WCHA from last year, and/or any B1G school hosted game from past years. Maybe back to 2015 or so?

(Adding, men's hockey as well.)

At least last year, BTN+ had different subscription plans for women's hockey. One included all BIG hockey, men's and women's, but another was all women's WCHA BIG teams plus other sports from a chosen school, but not Penn State women's or other BIG men's hockey. I picked the former last time, but might switch to the latter if it is still an option, as I'm more likely to watch other Minnesota sports than the extras from the other plan. The only real loss to me would be the PSU women.

I have a full access subscription, for volleyball as well as hockey (and then the occasional softball, or football replay, etc.) Quite understandable that others would choose other plan options, and good of BTN to offer all the variations.
 
Simms got 2 ROTY votes, KK got the rest. If KK is that dynamic on the international stage and 2 coaches think Simms is more impactful than her, well then Oh Boy!

Sad Buchbinder didn't get any love for being a potential all conference D.

Based on what I saw in June, I might expect Laila Edwards to be the most impactful incoming freshman.

I had the same thought as far as forwards go. It's going to be very interesting to see if any Fr F are on the PP. Sadly I won't see game 1, I will be at a wedding rehearsal.
 
Well, I'll be darned, my parking passes showed up over the weekend and YES I got lot 91. Score! I am SHOCKED at how ornate and fancy they are. I wish I could post a picture here. In an age of digital everything, these are right out of 1986. They spent some serious coin, (mine) to print these puppies out. Color coordinated to match the opponent's color and all. They are so fancy I may keep them as mementoes. There had to be a cheaper way to do this, especially if they are going to scan them at the gate.

Obviously the only question is in goal. Kronish's only meaningful game of her career was a 43 save 2-1 loss to OSU on the road last year. She also played the 3rd period the game before as well, so is she the anointed one? Gervais could be the one as well, who knows. I will say its exciting to see recruited G's get a chance to carry the torch vs transfers. The first 10 games are a nice preseason warm up to the main course. Might we see split time or is MJ going to hook up to one and have her carry the load? Historically (the last 10 years) he hasn't been too concerned about getting back-ups playing time against cupcakes.

It's crazy to think UW gave up 43 sog in a game. There's no way UW gives up 43 shots to anyone this year, I'll bet the house on it. I doubt 30 will get cracked but a few times. I think the slugfests will be 28-26 sog type of games. I am really looking forward to getting back to smothering D in the N and D zone.

Looking at the F's, whose on the 4th line? Enright GS LE? If that's the 4th line, or whoever is on that line, please roll it with regular shifts. The talent is there to roll 4 with no worries. MJ should be feel 100% confident in the line matchup chess game with all the talent at F and knowing the D corps is deep.

I'd love to see LE get PP time and create havoc in front of the net.

Hopefully Picard is fully recovered from the injury.

What do you think about paying for Badger Extra? We already pay an exorbitant amount for the State Journal/Baraboo News (more than my NYT full subscription!) and it annoys me to now have to kick in another $11/month. What are your thoughts about Badger Extra and its value?

I have not subscribed to it yet. If I started missing articles that I would like to read and can't I may pony it up but it's really stupid that we already pay for the Wisconsin state journal and now they want to charge us more for reading more information That previously was free.

Mj said both goalies will play this weekend.

Did MJ have a press conference? Or did you give him a call and ask what his plans are for goalie assignments this week?
