Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2021-2022

WI travels to UMtc without having played in a competitive game in 3 weeks! UMtc coming off a BAD loss the the purple kows. UMtc are going to have a fire lit and UW ALWAYS plays a bad first period off a bye. Not an ideal situation for UW.

Much too early to come up with excuses!

Just trying to raise your expectations so the fall is from higher up. HA! 7-5 at home is an unbelievable record. If WI was 7-5 at home I'd be too embarrassed to post here anymore. Or set up a burner account and hide my identity.

If UW can survive the first period of the weekend I like their chances to sweep.

None of us here on the forum believe that you can be embarrassed. I do recall you being so unsure of your team that you wouldn't commit to going to St. Charles in 2017 to watch your Badgers finish 2nd.

The BC game was Friday and I didn't want to miss work to go. And it is the final 4, so yes winning is not a sure thing, even against BC. Speaking of BC, was that their highwater mark as a program and it's been all down hill from there?

MJ said in a short press conference that since there is no school going on now, the players are in a "good spot", so I am expecting a fast start.

Any true fan would be embarrassed to admit what you just did. Work? Compared to watching my team beatdown an upstart BC?

Wisconsin has the whole postseason on the schedule page of the team website.

The Gophers used to do that in the good ol' days! (But, don't get me wrong, I'm still hoping at the end of the year to be saying "these are the good ol' days!")

Carly Simon is in my head singing "Anticipation"

Back in the days that the WCHA Mens Final was held in St. Paul, I always had either a dental appointment on Friday, or I was "sick". I had recurring tickets where I could never be on camera, and the row I was in was short, so we never got any promotions. The Keebler elf used to pass out treats for some lucky row of seats. I made sure to never get that sort of attention. Occasionally I would meet fellow employees, who also got "sick" on Friday. By the way, I was not there to root for the Gopher men, I was there to see high quality hockey.
Timothy, I think you have shown yourself to be a fair weather fan of your team. But I won't ask if you are embarrassed by that.

LOL. I have job commitments (and so did my hockey buddies) ....If it was in the Twin Cities or Madison (maybe Duluth), I could have pulled it off. I could have blown off Friday and went to the game, drove home, worked Saturday in place of Friday, then head back on Sunday when they won Friday. I think your travel time to and from the WCHA final was probably minutes, not hours from home. And Walmart greeters have stringent schedules you know.

Now that is quality posting...hee hee

So WI gets to play a triple header trip in MN playing St. Cloud twice and the Tommies once the 28th-31st. They get 1 game back anyway, but sadly I lose 2 home games.

Let's go RED!

Gophers over Badgers 2 - 1.

Golly thanks for letting me know, I had no idea! I finished my Walmart greeter shift, then my dishwasher shift and I just got off my 3rd shift security job, all solo jobs I couldn't delegate. WINK. There's always today for a W. Let's go RRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One silver lining to yesterday's wins by Minnesota and Duluth (and of course, there's a long ways to go): it becomes more likely that Duluth heads to Minneapolis for their NCAA "quarterfinal", instead of coming to Madison.

(The other thing to note is that it is really close between Clarkson and Colgate for 9th and 10th in the Pairwise and RPI ... And that means one of them gets into the 11 team field, and one doesn't. Expanding the field doesn't "fix" that kind of problem, it just changes the "friction point".)

Hopefully that friction point moves next year.
