Yep, it is true, Wisconsin has landed Sioux Falls USHL forward Matt Lindblad. He was committed to dartmouth but backed out and took a full ride from us.

Badgers just landed a whale! Waiting on confirmation from a second source to make sure but this is big. Its for 2010 and should really, really help.

Hopefully he can score over 50 pts next season to make up for Stepan's early departure.

IMO, with all UW has lost, they will still be lucky to finish top 5 in the WCHA next season.

Chuck, way to give it to the ranger fan on HF. Some hockey fans in big markets only know the pro game and don't understand the college game. It's not that players are leaving, it's the timing of the pursuit.

Not being negative but it is not a huge coup. Saw him play 10+ times this year and he will not be an impact vs the higher end teams. Solid player but will not be an impact as much as the points might reflect.

Your not getting a Stephan Decosta type here by any means

LOL no one in their right mind is comparing him to Decosta, but at this stage in the game, this is about as big of a recruiting coup as you will ever see. This is HUGE. To be able to add a 70 point performer in the USHL regardless of what you say is huge especially when you unexpectedly lose a player like Stepan.
