It's only been a couple months on needing the assistants, and longer then that since he lost Boesser...but yes...Eaves has all Summer to keeping being told no by any of the top candidates.

Don't sell yourself short, maybe you can't skate or shoot like Schuey could (maybe you CAN!), but you have way more experience on the talent eval/recruiting trail than he did when he stepped in. Maybe you can have become a "volunteer" coach and helped with recruiting, like became the in state recruiting guru.

Kind of weird, TODAY on WIBA radio, Brian Posick reported what you guys have been reporting for at least a week that Oz, Granato, and Harbinson, et al, said, ".....Um, no......"

Not a knock on Posick, but it's old news.

In the words of Johnny Upton, "This is ****ing embarrasing." I'm not counting on the UW getting a coach of any talent. Maybe some possible up-and-coming no name will snap at an offer, but no established assistant, co-coach, whatever, will accept an assistant position behind Eaves.

I want Barry Melrose and I'm ****ing serious.

I don't understand why Eaves doesn't talk to Chris Tok. A Wisconsin guy. Did a great job in Austin, MN in the NAHL, before getting let go in an apparent disagreement with management. It's my understanding he's just working up in Eau Claire in a non-hockey related job.

Why is Boeser at 9 ridiculous? Have you seen him play this season?

Remember, he's not doing a consensus list. It doesn't matter where other people have kids ranked, he's ranking them based on his own viewings.

I just don't view him as a top 10 pick. Some mock drafts don't even have him going 1st round.

He's got Bracco at #60 and Kylington at #47 and I think both of them go late 1st early 2nd round.

Again, he's not doing a consensus list or a mock draft. Just because other people have players ranked in different spots doesn't mean anything. That's where he feels they should be picked. The guy puts in more time than almost anyone in the media actually going out and watching games. I don't necessarily agree with all his rankings, but I give him credit for not falling into groupthink.

Penticton announces today that Jost and Fabbro are coming back next season. Positive news for NCAA purposes.
