Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXVI: Stop looking for the silver lining and ignoring the probl

You know what else you find in a barn, Mike? A whole lot of horse#$%*!

Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

Technically you make the hay in the field and store it in the barn. The barn is full of mice, cats, rats, bats and doo doo, usually lots of doo doo.

...and you know what's mixed with hay in the barn......yep. Bull****.

Wow, the hive mind is alive and well in the UW thread.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXVI: Stop looking for the silver lining and ignoring the probl

you mean the fools in the Athletic Dept right KaMiGo?

And of course everything has to come back to the administration. Don't you ever get sick of doing that?

It could have been a nice little exchange, and could have been left at that, but you had to come back and point the thread back in this direction...again...

I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point.

EVERYONE here understands you are an Eaves and/or UW Administration sympathizer, no worries.
However, you complaining about our individual or collective responses doesn't change the fact the program is nowhere near where it should be

I don't like getting pulled into the anti-crowd, AGAIN. I was not saying anything negative about the program, I was just pointing out the factual relationship of hay, a barn and the contents of said barn. His metaphors are bad, but that does not mean he's doing a bad job. This year. Let's go RED!

You brought it up bud, so look in the mirror....hive mind, fools. Nice try though.

My comment was being sarcastic anyway, which apparently you are just too sensitive to get it, since anything about the administration or the best coach in college hockey, Mikey, is taken as a lowering of this thread. And here I thought you were just making a joke, but apparently you really do think we are fools if we don't like the admin or MM.

It is so much fun to poke the bear once in a while.

Nothing serious meant folks, just pushing buttons and having a little bit of fun.

Nothing to see here, carry on.
which I'm sure will be met with a "You're darn right there isn't anything to see here, hasn't been for a few years, and there won't be until Eaves is gone!"

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXVI: Stop looking for the silver lining and ignoring the probl

Putting all of the other stuff aside, I'm encouraged by the ticket sales for this weekend!

Looking at availability for the Saturday game, I see less than 100 seats available in the 100 bowl. The 200 level looks to be about 2/3 sold; the central sections are pretty much sold out and the corner/ends are about 50%.

Plenty of seats left in the 300, but there are about 100 or so seats up there that are sold.

Some people were saying that getting into B16 play after the break would be when we see attendance go up, this small sample sure seems like that could be true.

I am seeing all kinds of advertising on local channels (no cable) for the series this weekend, so they are trying on the marketing. They had a news story on NBC 15 about the team doing CPR training as well.

What do ya know, a rival football school coming to town and we are drawing good attendance for hockey. I'll take it. Promote all the other games the same Barry and I'll stop disliking you.

So, are the puppies gonna crap their collective bed? Or will they climb the first hill on their way up the mountain? To be determined.

2-1-3 at home

Well that was the sales pitch we got for B1G hockey: teams that casual fans are familiar with and would actually care about watching. Hopefully they shove it down the bucknuts' throats.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXVI: Stop looking for the silver lining and ignoring the probl

Yet fools seldom differ...

BTW; has anybody ever tried to get any posters together anywhere like a tavern or restaurant? It looks like I've been "lurking aboot" here for 13 years (I started when I was 12 ;) ) and I've never met anybody. Maybe that's a good thing!

Something to consider?

(More 2016 Badger hockey money will be spent at the "X" next Friday the 15th. Wild will host the J-E-T-S, JETS JETS JETS. I know some don't like anything East Dakota, but an NHL game there is awesome.)

Make sure you bring a barf bag for when they play that, "state of hockey" song.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXVI: Stop looking for the silver lining and ignoring the probl

After watching OSU take down BC in a close game and then destroy Cornell the next night, I'm not sure what to expect on the weekend as those were a couple of very good teams. Is OSU good? I don't know but they sure looked good in those two. A couple of guys at least are very good and they got excellent goal tending. Despite the records in the B1G, I really don't think there are any easy games anyway.

Sounds as though the boys are all healthy though, which is a big plus as it has been awhile. Jurusik will have to be solid and Hughes, Rockwood, Malone, Besse, and Kunin will all need to take another step up. This game should have a lot of pace to it. Encouraged by the reports of good attendance, hope those that are there get in the spirit of things and make it an enjoyable night for all. Let's Go Red!

Is OSU good is a question that has been on our minds as well.
Early on Ohio State could not get in sync and for some reason OSU is never consistent in the first part of the season.
Then at the beginning of December we took the Gophers to OT on their ice both games and they barely got by us.
Our wins in Florida against BC and Cornell stunned us as well as we were down 2-0 to BC and killed off a 5 min major and battled back and against Cornell was just unreal at 8-0 with all goals scored by different players.
I say if OSU has turned the corner and the coach ( one of YOUR former captains) has his personnel & lines set we could give you a hard time but I have no predictions, too soon into our win streak to know if we'll be consistent.

Is there any TV for tonight's game? I thought having the B1G conference was supposed to increase televised games? All I see is BTN-plus. Something they force you to pay for (of course).

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXVI: Stop looking for the silver lining and ignoring the probl

Only BTN Plus tonight. It's on Wisconsin Channel tomorrow.

Curious on attendance based on this picture. https://t.co/NriCjvPlYr
