Regardless of how things go on the ice year in and year out, Wisconsin has generally recruited and been blessed with kids of very good character and I've always been very proud of the program in that regard. I've had occasion to spend a lot of time at UW Children's hospital in the past and without exception, Badger players have always been outstanding in their interactions with patients and fans on their regular visits. Obviously nothing is 100% but we've really been fortunate to have had tremendous people come through the program over the years.
On the ice, I think we all knew we were going to face big challenges early on and we certainly didn't expect this to be a record setting year by any stretch, and yet already we have Joe LaBate taking the bull by the horns! He is on pace to utterly shatter Jason Zent and Dan Plante's all time season record of 56 penalties in 42 games, Joe's season extrapolating out to an astonishing 85p in 34gp! Way to go Joe!
Glad to see a couple young Badgers break through last night. I gotta believe Davison will be out for awhile... Any word on Eddie Wittchow that I missed?
