Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXIX: Yes, this is the Rumpel Rink!

I get a little sad watching anything about the Habs with what happened to Geoffrion last year.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXIX: Yes, this is the Rumpel Rink!

It looks on par to what Roger Waters was using for his recent production of The Wall.

The Canadiens intro is stellar.

Can't imagine it can fit in the budget at UW.

They could commission you to do a photoshop on ice, Gurth. Custom designed for each opponent. Who wouldn't like that?

If you sit below top of glass level at a game, you're sitting in the wrong spot. (Opinion)

I agree, though my kids like sitting right against the glass. I prefer to be able to watch play develop.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXIX: Yes, this is the Rumpel Rink!

First row, second level is usually a pretty **** good view. A view that I think is underrated is the first few rows in the corner. If you make lines extending the sideboards and endboards to a right angle, the seats in that angle have an awesome view of the ice, with none of those weird blind corners you can get when looking down the glass.

Section 222, center ice is darn good view. I love them .

217 row 1 next to the students, right above the band. Love those seats. best in the house IMO. I like sitting a little higher in the corner like others said to see the play develop. Plus I have people around me that I have gotten to know over the years. I don't like looking thru the net, but you get used to that.

We sat there for the fill the bowl 2 years ago, @ center ice, freaking awesome seats. I only get into the KC at most twice a year, and every time I sit down I say to self, "these are awesome seats".

I really wish they would replace the black safety net with a white one. It would obviously block the same amount of your vision, but it's easier to forget about when watching what's going on behind the net.

And my go-to seats are 115 in row B, sometimes C, and occasionally A. I love seeing the familiar faces of like-minded fans up there. Even just from a watching standpoint, it's better than my usual spot at football games - about 5 rows back, where the angle sucks, but the people don't.

I think a black net is better than white. When I went out to Philly the white net there seemed more distracting.

Soleway will wear #24 next year. Joins Besse (#12) as number changes.

I got to see Seamus Malone and the Fords in action in Dubuque this past weekend. I'm not going to pretend I got a ton of information from watching just one game, but it was pretty neat.
