Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Nice hard working goal there by Bucky. Kids are showing some grit.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

1:00 minute of a 5 on 3 and not a single shot on net. Sigh.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Stick a fork in 'em, the Badgers are done. And this season ends..........finally!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

The talent gap between Michigan and Wisconsin is disturbing!

If Barry is even bothering to watch, lets hope this is the nail in the coffin!!!!!!!!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

What a very sad season for a storied program. I hope the damage that has been done is not permanent.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Now, the only thing to look forward to is going to Bucky's 5th Q to find out Eaves has been canned.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

If eaves isn't fired there is something wrong in the athletic department.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

No player or coach interviews after tonight's game on the radio post game show.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Remember a couple years ago when the Kato goalie had to serve his 5 minute major for grabbing Dahl's face mask and punching him?

I was listening to that on the radio and Posick was losing his mind...when the goalie went into the box. We may only have 4 wins, but the games are still entertaining with Posick announcing them.

That goalie was Stephon Williams, who once made a barehanded save in the USHL. He also went to the box in a USHL game - coaches and commentators at that college game hadn't ever seen it, but Williams did it twice in 2 years.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Vol. XXXII: No Where To Go But Up!

Certainly a season to forget.
Which will never be possible, because it was SO bad. Over the years our Gophers have had some very disappointing seasons, but nothing like the one you Badger fans have just endured. Honestly, I do empathize.

The season is over. My recap has been finalized. The whiskey is poured. Have a good night folks.

Andy, do you have the Eaves fired article saved on your desktop? Leave some space open for some quotes.

I am looking forward to reading it.

Joel Rumpel deserves better than this.

That's my overwhelming feeling as well. What a sad situation.

Besse coulda had a hatty tonight, pp was bad, that Larkin goal should cost someone their scholarship for just letting him skate right by.

Good to see Soleway will that puck into the net, I thought Cavallini played a strong game.

There will be a net talent increase on the roster next year, that is a positive.

we will most likely be weaker in goal, going from a senior to a freshman. So talent may be up, but scoring by the other team will as well.

Nice article to wrap up the season.

It's always sad to see a Badger hockey season end, but at times like these it's hard as a fan to see positives for the future (outside of the obvious want for major changes.) Still, those kids worked hard last night when they were clearly outmatched by the Wolverines last night.

One thing that certainly needs to change is the configuration and coaching for the Power play. In the last ten games, the Badgers had 34 opportunities over a duration of 59 minutes and 57 seconds, but only had 35 shots and 2 goals. 6% effectiveness on the PP isn't going to help you win many games.
