This is tempered by the volatility of the new PWR, but FWIW we are now tied with UML for 7th.

Forgot to sign my rep to you. What you said about McCabe crushing Harley... something about a bag of dicks in a whorehouse...

:D:D:D

Thanks, but I got it because I'm EXTRA good. ;)

As for McCabe, he was on a mission. The look in his eyes at the Thursday post game said it all. He's a freakin' machine. Like the Terminator.

I actually had an alcohol detox who wore a gopher jersey on admission. It was the single most important moment in my professional career because I was able to treat the patient like anyone else ;)

I will use that example on my application to the government regarding treating under-served individuals to repay my 200k+ in loans

If you're lucky you'll get dysentery in some third world, war torn country instead of having to treat more Minnesotans. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

one of the greatest weekends of Badger hockey ever....
the atmosphere created by Minnesochoka being #1 can never be replaced.....
have not heard the Kohl Center that loud possibly ever...
Joe Rumpel has arrived...
and the rest of the team are hitting stride....
gonna be a great ride all the way to Philly.....

I get it. You're excited. We all are. But "greatest ever" and "can never be replaced" are a just a wee bit hyperbolic. Philly's a long way off, and taking down the goof's isn't going to mean much if we can't get it together on the road next week at tOSU. While the Badger's are capable of running the B1G table from here if we keep progressing, there's a lot of work yet to be done to get to the top of the mountain.

Well said coach Eaves and very true. Have to consider League may suspend McCabe. If so hope only
1 game.

Are you required to advise Gopher fans upon discharge that there is no known treatment for being Minnesotan and that you explained that to them? I would think you'd make them sign some kind of release. Even if they are unable or unwilling to acknowledge their affliction now, there will come a time when the ignorance falls away, and they may come after you saying you could have intervened medically by prescribing some kind of drug or surgically removing something that makes them Gopher fans, though I don't know what that could be.

We are taught to treat it on the spectrum of personality disorders. It is something that is built into the person which is really difficult to treat. Like borderline personality disorder, it is sometimes best to do group therapy in the hopes they see the severe defect in others and use that realization to make positive change in themselves.

Sometimes we ask them to pack up and move to North Dakota. The isolation from society and intelligent thought as a whole can do some good.

looking at the rerun of the McCabe hit on Rau....it appears he left the ground on the hit but didn't make head contact....was the reason for the call more for leaving his feet????? I stand to be corrected if he hit him in the head.

Bah. "Must spread."

This post is so delicious, I'm going to open a nice bottle of RED later on and read it again.

It's funny you should say that, because I can't decide if he actually left his feet, yet I think McCabe hit Rau right in the face.

You're looking at this the wrong way. Just refer them to a vet.

In the last issue of JAMA, there was an article advocating a widespread spay and neuter program. Hopefully it will be covered by the ACA so us medical professionals can get a handle on this epidemic.

Rau isn't that big at all. McCabe basically Pronger'd him.

Anyone remember who it was that hit Bischoff?

Spay & neuter is always good when you don't want them procreating. Euthanasia would be too humane, though.

I think I've watched this hit a couple dozen times. McCabe's right skate never leaves the ice but his left one does. He appears to catch Rau under the chin which may have something to do with that little twerp being 5'8" and McCabe being 6'1". Did he mean to crush him? Probably. That follow-through with the arms probably sealed the deal for the call on the ice and whatever suspension may or may not come.

I've gone back and watched it again and I guess the skates really don't leave the ice. Like ya said the fact you're 3 inches taller then him made more of this call however McCabe made a pretty good run at him with one thing in mind. Wonder what the BT will rule on this one?

If the Pronger Defense argument works....that'll be a sad day.

He hit him in the head - pretty good follow through too.

I won't be surprised or angered by a 1 game suspension. Anything more than a game is too much though.

Now... should the B1G take into account Rau's history including starting a handshake line brawl against NoDak and deem that he had this hit coming, I'd be fine with that too. :p

Nothing more than a game, I agree. And :p

As I said Friday, I had no problem with the 5/game for the hit. I'd be pretty surprised if there was a suspension though.
