Re: Wisconsin Hockey Recruiting Vol. XXXIV: Go pick me out a winner, Strand

If you ask me, you're setting the bar amazingly low for coverage. Someone who is fabricating information shouldn't be looked at for a source of information in the future, their materials should be ignored henceforth.

I know that we're starved for more information at this point, but we shouldn't be desperately clinging to sites hoping that they give us any nugget of information.

Why would i read any made-up information when I can get all of the REAL info right here! :D

With all those extra recruits, you must be planning a JV squad. let's bring them back.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey Recruiting Vol. XXXIV: Go pick me out a winner, Strand

Article on the Dhooghe's commitment to UW.

He got Emberson's name wrong multiple times and I'm pretty sure he wrote that one of the recruits was first going to play for the London Knights. Then he fabricated quotes from recruits and you still think he deserves a chance?

So you jump on the bandwagon of bashing the author of an article, then you come back a few days later with a link to his latest article?

Carrying 15 F isn't crazy by any means after you take into account that Fredric and Kunin will be leaving early. There is an overabundance of D, but as you saw with your own eyes the last 2 years, UW's D was/is in need of an major overhaul. Whose gonna be the rodents answer to G2O? They are gonna bury tDon.

Frederic will be on campus for at least 2-3 years.

3 years would be great, but G2O need to plan for the early departures since they want 10 first rounders on the roster at one time. They may average 3 early DP's a year once they get the program rolling.

Pretty sure 10 first rounders is pretty unrealistic (even though that's what coach D. Granato says is their goal). I agree that Wisco is doing things right by getting as many top end recruits as possible in order to continuously replace early departures. You never know when a team will press kids to leave school.

Yeah I hesitated linking it but did it. Guess I'm more starved for coverage than I thought. I just need them to drop the puck and get this season underway...

I did look at the article in question again and Emberson's name is corrected. It also indicates the Emberson quote used was incorrectly attributed to Emberson in the original article...

All the **** articles are the same anyway...love campus, love the coaches, good academics and that is important. Never any new info we don'the already know...

Doesn't he have to win one game first?

Under MM the last 2 years, there was doubt IF they could win one game at all. There's no doubt they'll win one game this year.

I'd be disappointed in a record of less than .500.

I truly expect to be reading about an amazing turn around after next season.

Team Wisconsin product, Aaron Grounds, committed to Ohio State. I have no idea if UW showed any interest. Not really any room for him anyway.

He was probably mentioned more here than in the other thread, so I'll post here also. Pardon the double-post

Looks like Bobby is jumping ship from the Scout.com world to the SB Nation side of things and moving into covering Texas.

That's what I was thinking....no room at the Inn and/or won't be a first round draft pick.

He's played in Wisconsin the past two seasons but prior to that lived in Minnesota.

Now you guys are sounding like Gopher fans, who never lost a recruit they really wanted.
