No UW hockey on WPT this year. UW wanted $50,000 per game, perhaps a price increase? Whatever the reason, it's a sad deal.
I'd say Baker is a lock to be in the line up. Ustaski is more of a 4th liner in my opinion. Davison and Ess will split the final D-man spot. Wouldn't be surprised to see Linhart take either Kalynuk or Inamoto and Tischke to take the other. A Davison and Greenway pairing would be a big turnover concern.
It is a sad deal. End of an Era in UW Hockey. With the B1G streaming, even replaying them late probably isn't workable.

Just to clarify, I read Milewski as saying UW asked for bids as to how many games somebody would broadcast for $50k total (not per game.) I take it as meaning UW put up $50k. I think? I know UW subsidized WPT in the past for broadcasts, but I don't know to what extent.
WPT didn't submit a bid at all, so it seems they weren't all that interested in having Hockey on the air this year.
I know that I was very interested in the 7-part cross-stitching documentary series that they were running in its place for the last few years.
Hey! Me too!

Are you sure that isn't from the latch hook retrospective?
Seems Todd's article has been updated with more details explaining that the decision to not bid wasn't WPT's. "WPT was invited to bid but didn't, director of marketing and communications Michael Harryman said. He cited a UW Regents policy on competition with the private sector that he said doesn't allow state agencies like WPT to participate in bidding that has been opened to private companies."
Congrats to Kid Els for his induction into the UW Athletics Hall of Fame. Great that he could be there. (I'm guessing he's not the last inductee From that 2006 team.) His tournament performance in '06 ranks at or above the clutch Marc Behrend's '81 and '83 2x tournament MVP as the greatest ever. His tremendous performance in the the 3 OT Cornell game remains the greatest hockey game I've ever been at.
And congrats to the Suter Family on the induction of the legendary Bob Suter. Here is a very touching tribute to Bam by his son Ryan. Bob was simply an amazing person.
Milewski tweeted the lines in practice today:
Wagner Frederic Weissbach
Ustaski Hughes S Dhooghe
Zimmer Malone Johnson
Ford Baker Labosky
Freytag Zirbel Dhooghe*
Kalynuk Linhart
Ess Tischke
Davison Inamoto
Hurley Sexton , Bunz
* 24- S Dhooghe was listed twice, I'm guessing this is Jason. Strike that. Jason has an ankle injury and is day to day. Sean doing double duty I guess.
No Greeneway listed? I don't know why. Strike this too. Greeneway is out for Sunday. dealing with "personal problems" Which I read as he screwed up somehow.
I am surprised Inamoto is on the 3rd pairing. Also, I'm like Linhart's biggest non-fan so him on the 1st pairing makes me cringe. I really like the 3rd line; underrated but will win "us" a bunch of games.
5'3" Sean Dhooghe is going to be a fan favorite. I can almost guarantee it.
The lines are here.
