Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Episode XXXI: A New Hope

Was also around for the 80's Packers! How fun was that!?!?!

I predicted Eddie Lee Ivery was going to be the greatest Packer running back ever!

And except for two bad knees and a severe drug and alcohol addiction, I might have been right... :(

If we'd have had a defense back then.

Lofton, Coffman and JJ...

News coming from Andy/Chuck and Baggot. Adam Rockwood sidelined indefinitely with CPT II, a genetic enzyme deficiency.

Rockwoods mom just tweeted at me that he should be back soon and that this is very manageable. I was pretty concerned when I first heard the news, but it seems like he should be fine as long as he's regulated. He's a good player, they need him.

Very good to hear.

That's...different.

Phew.

Oh no. I started paying attention to sports in about 1980, so I was around for the 80's Badgers in hoops and football. I remember the veer offense. :p

Was also around for the 80's Packers! How fun was that!?!?!

What about the Bucks in the 80s? They were actually decent. They moved to a different city right...? NBA still exists?

I can't make friday night's game, and couldn't even give my tickets away at work. ****.

I think that people are missing the big story here...ChAndy gets tweets from players' moms!!!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Episode XXXI: A New Hope

For a second there, I swore I was watching Gilbert score the game winner against BC in 06.

The resemblance is uncanny! Paape only needs 29 more goals to match Gilbert's career total-- If he can just get on a little bit of a roll here I think it's within reach! He's certainly still due...

Actually it's a heck of a great shot and at a timely time for all involved. It's a reminder that it takes some talent to even be on the Badgers roster and guys like Paape still have some pretty good skills... He would mostly tear up the Thursday night rec leagues.

A little worried about PSU tonight. They shoot so much, a couple of bad bounces and things can go wrong in a hurry. Youngsters have played fairly well the last three on D, but I really wish Eddie was back in the line up against these guys. In any case:

Can someone identify the guys in the photo other than Buccigros and Geoffrion or is it just random fans. Is that Wittchow on the left?

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Episode XXXI: A New Hope

Thanks Chuck. looked kind of like him and had a cast on.

I can't say for sure other than they are all obviously highly intelligent individuals with exceptional taste who are assuredly kind to children and old people.

Most certainly some of the finest examples of the human race to be found anywhere!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Episode XXXI: A New Hope

Just throwing this out there - anyone interested in 2 tickets for the Saturday game? Great seats - Section 120 on the aisle. Cheap to a good home!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey: Episode XXXI: A New Hope

Holy Crap. The game is going to be "TELEVISED" tonight? What is this Madness!?!?!
