OSU ratings vs Wisconsin ratings from CHN as of this morning:

OSU vs Wisconsin 10th vs 35th of 61 in the pairwise

A stark contrast indeed...OSU takes roughly the same amount of penalty mins but has significantly better goaltending and penalty kill.

I think that sums up well what we have been saying for years. The coaching for defense and defensive system has been abysmal.

This past weekebd only confirmed it with my very own eyes on the PK, inability to cover weakside, and power play.

Polzin tweeted to me he was surprised it didn't happen yesterday. He thought maybe Mac didn't wanna rain of what were women's n c a a hockey parade.

Then Mac is out of his mind and is not serious about turning the Badger men’s hockey team into winners again.

but this is also why I’ve been extraordinarily pessimistic. This Athletic Department has shown NO interest in the men’s hockey team. Basically hire a coach and then ignore the results for year after year.

So fine. Retain him. Fink will get the puppies to climb the hill. Fink is the missing link! And 8”I’ll have more money for concerts after not renewing.

Yeah, I am not renewing if they don't fire Granato. I have threatened it before and I did give up Saturday's at the end of the Eaves era, but I took a Saturday ticket this year with a coworker. So even though my name isn't on the tickets I have ticket both nights.

what’s funny is we did give up our seats heading into this season. We didn’t renew. Just too pissed off. 6 seats, center ice, lower bowl…then my dad changed his mind after about 2-3 weeks and called up and guess what? Our tickets were still available. Anyway, those tix will not be renewed this go around. We may regret it if they make a home run hire but these days I can’t make more than 1-2 games a year anyway.

I dont think Sexton has near the track record needed yet for high Div 1 NCAA hockey. Certainly someone to keep on the radar but where he is at right now is a Junior A league in Alberta. He certainly is on the right track though!

But with the level of stupid of the hockey admins over the last 10 years, especially last year when they kept the current staff, who knows what they will do. I would suggest anyone who cares to email the people making hundreds of thousands of dollars to make these decisions. Who have made poor decisions. Better safe then sorry with these people.

I'm pretty sure the announcers used by the BTN+ broadcast are college students broadcast. It wasn't Al who is Michigan's radio guy. Husband and I stayed home Friday due to weather and watched on tv, both of us wanted the kid to stop yelling. Dude, you have a microphone you don't have to yell everything you say.

My favorite broadcaster in B1G hockey is the Spartan Sports Network guys...but I may have some bias there.

Sadly you are correct...many of the BTN+ broadcasts use exactly that, the student broadcast feed along with the student video feed (hence horrible camera work). There has got to be something done about that. It is unprofessional at best and a slap in the face to fans at worst.

After having heard all the announcers across the schools, Brian Posick for WI is in a class of his own and he usually dles a pretty good job of highlighting both teams throughout the game. Speaking for WI fans, I think sometimes we wish he were harder on the Badgers to call out their poor play or bad mistakes. Sometimes he glosses over them a bit too much for my taste.
 
The Milwaukee Power is a Tier III Junior league (NA3HL). While Coach Mitchell may be on the right track and should warrant consideration for USHL asst jobs and DIII asst jobs, not enough there yet.

100% joking, except for the part about the game being more enjoyable to watch... also the part about him holding himself out as a National Champion in his bio is pretty amusing (he was a grey shirt that year).
