...Also, they had Weissbach on the left wall for the power play. Idk about you guys but I believe he played right wall prior to Wisconsin and he’s more of a shooter than a distributor, yet they have him in the distributor spot.

Power play is Strobels responsibility. Count me as one not that surprised it's struggling. Defenseman running the pp!

Paging Don Granato stat!

After reading the posts, I'm just totally frustrated with this program. Yeah, yeah I know it's early, but there's something to "setting the tone". Losing Don is turning out to be worse than we thought at first, especially since it's obvious Strobel hasn't improved the team. Tony is the head coach; this is on him.

I just don't know what to think anymore. solo mentioned our recent record and compared us to others and I agree. It hurts me to say WI is no longer, and hasn't been for years, a hockey powerhouse. We're just "a guy".

Why can NoDak, BC, BU, MI, DU, and all these small northeast schools continue to reload, rebuild and we're in over 10 years of mediocrity? Even the ****ing gophers don't **** the bed like this.

****ing embarrassing.

EDIT: I don't buy the fact that there are still Eaves` players out there. We've got plenty of new recruits who are supposed to be better than those players.

Today went well. More of what I think the team is capable of and should be able to maintain.

The contributions from the underclassmen are vital, and will help with the hope for the future in the worst case.

I’m very curious to know what exactly Achan did to get the gate. On the radio it seemed like he had a few hard hits with some Huskies, so I’m guessing he said things he shouldn’t have.

Obviously a good and needed win. How did they play? I was at my son's old play.

Myself included, we as fans need to be less reactive to a single game result and look more at the trends. This is a trend of society for sure, being over-reactive.

I wonder if Lebedef is getting traction on the #1 spot.

What do you mean that I'm being over-reactive!?!?! You're the one who is saying it?!?! I'm not the problem!

Yeah, I get what you're saying. It's just tough to see such a flat performance consistently on a Friday night. That seems to be a common pattern over the past few years and I think that's part of where the frustration lies.

I don't know. I don't think its overreacting when you see a complete and utter lack of effort across the board. That's what I saw Friday night and plagued to many nights near the end of the Eaves era.

I see your point, and I know it's shocking for me to try and be the voice of reason, but when you are short handed for an entire period worth of hockey in a game and lose a top line guy for the whole game practically, screwing up 2 lines, well, it's not going to be pretty. It's still early in the season. And HEY, we did beat BC on a Friday night! That's a big, well um, pretty good, probably decent, kinda maybe quality win. But it was on a Friday!

From a ranking standpoint UW and the sue are pretty close, but my gut tells me the sue have a lot more talent on the team. A split in the land of no trees would be good, just win Friday and lose Saturday please, if they lose at all.

UW looking to continue scheduling NoDak
19-20 opponents include UMD, ASU, Clarkson at home; UNO and BC/Merrimack on the road

I try to keep a list of future scheduling notes here if anyone is interested

Thanks for putting together a scheduling document.

I keep hoping that they will come play at Alabama-Huntsville because it's only 2 or 3 hours away, but I think that's a pipe dream.

Maybe if someone can talk them into a 5 for 1 across a 12 year period or something like that...

Yeah, not really a destination city. Don't know if the Badgers are really looking for a team that they would want to pay for a trip to Madison for that many years as well.

Personally, I'm excited for the UMD return trip.

My family has a cabin about an hour away from the rink in Duluth.

I might have to take a long weekend off of work and spend some time relaxing up north and catch a few hockey games in the process.

Pretty sure Cody Goloubef is not going to put this on his career highlight reel. Getting absolutely worked by a 5'7" guy in the Islanders system.

Man, that Uppercut absolutely buckles him.

Looks like no TV for this weekend? Any confirmation on that?
