Wisconsin @ C.C. - 2nd Edition - 2 Different Teams

Re: Wisconsin @ C.C. - 2nd Edition - 2 Different Teams

My worries about the boys not being able to go out fired up was certainly unfounded last night. Amazing effort by everyone to blank the Tigers.

Re: Wisconsin @ C.C. - 2nd Edition - 2 Different Teams

haha yeah and it can't be good for recruiting either. a Program like Wisconsin should have EVERY home game on TV and most road games. But it is what it is, a lot of people on here put the blame on the networks which does deserve some of the blame but it hasn't been a high priority with the people at Kelner Hall in recent years. Maybe another national championship will wake them up considering football and basketball will never win one...

Hey now. The Badger basketball team is 13th in the nation right now and a Jon Leuer recovery from being a final four contender and I believe they have won an NCAA title in the 1940's and have a Final Four appearance in 2000. The Badger football team had 3 Rosebowl victorys since 1994 and is going into next season #10. Let's not sell them short here. And remember, there is MUCH less competition to win an NCAA hockey championship than basketball or football. They also draw a ton more ratings than hockey as well. Alvarez is a business man with money in mind when he puts basketball and football ahead of hockey. That said, I wish he'd give hockey a better chance, and I'd rather watch hockey of any of the 3 sports, but unfortunately that isn't what mainstream Wisconsin would watch.

Way to underestimate Goody....:D

So you starts in goal tonight for UW?

I just don't see any way how you can't go with Goody. He's a hot goaltender right now and hasn't even lost a game since early in the season. Ride him while he's hot, Eaves, then think about using Bennett.

It was good to see Stepan continue his great play after the juniors. His confidence has to be at an all time high right now. Great move by Eaves to put Street as a wing. He responded right away with a goal. Let's get a win tonight and put us in serious contention with Denver for the league title.

First time CC has been shutout in over 100 games. Good job by the Badgers.

I'm hoping CC can mount a nice recovery tonight. The great start they had is starting to come unraveled but a win tonight would really go a long way toward healing things.

Re: Wisconsin @ C.C. - 2nd Edition - 2 Different Teams

On last nights game... CC was 50/50 all night, not dominate, but not flat. Good earned his doughnut, the kid was spectactular. Davies is a solid players that looks for the pass and can take a hit.

On tonights game: I hope Wisco comes with goody again, THe badgers are going to have to play a full 60 minutes after haning that 4 spot. watch for the dropping of the gloves, Players were chippy and yapping last night and with one shut out in the books, if the score boards looks sconi heavy there will be a lot of box time...

Also I had to leave at the end of hte 2nd last night, my daughter was tired... I hope the kid in 215 I gave my seats to enjoyed them....

Go badgers.... Get me my ice cream tonights... 5-2

That's because Culver's serves FROZEN CUSTARD, not ice cream! :D . (Much smoother & much tastier! Trust me; 20 LBs too much around the gut.);)

vw......DU also has a D-1 lacrosse program as well. Another lesson learned.

I love Culvers! And the frozen custard is the best!! Technically Famous Dave's began in Wisconsin too! Good stuff!!

OUCH on your prediction.

You probably heard the big group of Wisconsin fans behind you tonight. We were all at the top of 207.

What was your take on the game?

Steve, my take on the game. It was no fun! CC had better play some of there best hockey Saturday or they will lose again. I promise I will find you in Section 119 tonight to at least say hi!!

Go Tigers!!

The thing that really caught my attention Friday night was how aggressive Good was in goal, he really came out of the crease to challenge the CC players and won the challenge every time.

Well guys, Bucky never gave up and went down fighting. Gotta find the pluses after that first period.

Re: Wisconsin @ C.C. - 2nd Edition - 2 Different Teams

There was some great hockey this weekend. CC is a heck of a team and I'll take a split on the road against a team of their caliber any weekend. Too bad Goody couldn't keep him momentum from Friday into Saturday. Perhaps the platoon is the best course of action going forward. There are lots of positives for UW going forward. We are #4 in the pairwise looking like an NCAA title contender, and I feel a lot better about this team at this point than last year. Good luck, CC. Bring on Denver!

Tig, we got our moneys worth tonight... Good yesterday reminded me a bit of Staylock. That guy was all over the ice...

Good game CC, and points earned on both sides...
