Wisconsin Badgers host the Denver Pioneers (11/20 & 11/21)

Re: Wisconsin Badgers host the Denver Pioneers (11/20 & 11/21)

Good point, Wisko. The other great thing about life on Mars is that the day is about 41 minutes longer. It adds up and with all that extra time spent on practice I expect future Martian colonists to develop a ton of top draft picks.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers host the Denver Pioneers (11/20 & 11/21)

Wisko scooped me too. :o

The great thing about life on Mars would be that the temperature swings from around -100F to about 70F near the equator in summer. What this means is that there will be no waiting weeks for the back yard rink to freeze up and you will easily have a clean new sheet every morning.

Gravity on Mars is 62% weaker than the Earth. Should the weight of the puck be higher to compensate for the weaker gravity or should it just be that much easier to go top shelf? If the weight of the puck is increased, then the velocity would go up as well and no one would want to play goalie. All goalies would play like Jeff Frazee. Who would want to watch that?

It is a troubling but undeniable urge that makes us want to watch a grown man play with himself. Rare, though, because not many in the general population are willing to play with themselves in that way. But that's what is so special about Badger threads: it's not the general population.

Lead skates will be mandatory. I don't know where to get them though.

I suppose NASA could just ask Mike Mersch where he got his.

SO FUNNY, I almost blew my Cousin's all over my desk......yet this perspective can only from from a fightin sue-hawk fan. No one else is capable of wrapping their brain around this concept in that way.

Alright, enough of this goofing off. Time to get serious about the Pio's who's two fans obviously have no respect for us and think their superstar top five are enough to get them over. Not so. Bucky wins another ambush tonight.

Let's Go Red!

Well said Wisko. I couldn't agree more!

Sorry, think the North Dakota euphoria is over. Was at Magness earlier this week. Pioneers look good. Weekend sweep.

Is this board totally devoid of DU fans since Old Pio passed away? Maybe it has something to do with life on Mars. I've always thought the DU fans were a little different, not that there's anything wrong with that. Unless you are from rodentsota or da dakotas.

Reddit also seems to have a disproportionate lack of Denver fans (compared to attendance and general prominenc of the program).

Re: Wisconsin Badgers host the Denver Pioneers (11/20 & 11/21)

Next time the Badgers are off, I hope Wisko and Wisko can both come to Utica to see the D-III attendance leading Utica College Pioneers (you may cheer for these eastern Pioneers, Wiskos). The place will remind you of what a hockey crowd ought to look like! I have an extra pair of tickets with your name(s) on them!

Of course they do. They're a top ten team. But what you didn't know is that I have just hacked this video footage from DU of Pio Forward and Wisconsin native Evan Janssen https://www.facebook.com/DenverHockey/videos/974622432576276/.

And in it he reveals THE ENTIRE DU GAMEPLAN!!!

I don't care if this isn't fair. We need wins and I'm getting it to Eaves asap.

btw- In it, he inadvertently lets slip that DU plans to both "get pucks to the net" AND "win one on one battles." Ha! Good luck with that now, Pio's!

Good point UCB! Plus, remind Wisko/Wisko that not only can they drink beer with watching college hockey in Utica, they can also now drink mixed (or straight up) drinks too!

We were going to say thanks but we couldn't possibly attend with out Wisko, but this has suddenly become rather a convincing pitch. Tough luck, Wisko!

And remind them, UCB, that the first drink is on you!
