Wisconsin Badgers '26-'27 season: Finishing what we started

We never really thought they would beat Notre Dame, just was nice to see them hang for a half, gives hope that the football season will be at least decent. Got my lambeau tix, sitting on one of the corners, didnt need to have center ice at all, but should have a decent angle on the ice sheet.

What do we feel about them calling us vs Michigan rivals? I dont think thats is really very accurate. When I form a list of rivals, Michigan really isnt on that list.

I decided $320 for 2 tickets, plus sitting in the cold at my age not worth it. Looks like many tickets sold which is great.

Tickets are really selling fast. Center 9 sections on both sides essentially sold out. Badger shooting end is over half gone (couple sections I am guessing not available for band / students). North End Zone probably 33% gone. If this doesn't sell out, I will be surprised.

I thought Hauser settled in nicely and I've always liked "undersized" NCAA goalies. Miss the days of guys like Mike Vernon, Darren Pang, and John Vanbiesbrouck getting a shot in the NHL. Kinda surprised they brought in the transfer they did to compete with him. Hopefully they push each other to be even better...

I think the Weasels are absolutely a rival in the sense that they used to be in the WCHA and bolted because of travel costs after the 1980-81 season, along with Notre Dame and Michigan State and basically became the defacto winners of the CCHA each year and had a much easier path to the NCAAs with the likes of Bowling Green, Lake St., UAA, UIC, Miami (OH), Western MI, Ferris St, and Ohio St.

Additionally, WI has a losing record against them, and they represent the worst of the worst in college hockey. Just look at the article that just came out in the Detroit Free Press. It is AWFUL! They are the Ped St. of Hockey. Yes, I know it's a lawsuit, but the allegations are VERY VERY specific.

They should be stomped into the ground by Bucky and we should savor it every damn second. You don't get to treat other humans like that, condone it/turn a blind eye as coaches, and then talk about how amazing your program is and have the benefit of not seeing the gutter for a very long time. Their arrogance is stunning and completely lacking self awareness.

We wandered in the desert and paid our dues with just bad coaching for a few years. Puts things in perspective.

I didn't know about this other than the stuff on Pearson. Thanks for sharing.

I think they are a rival. I think all the B6 opponents are. We've been together so long now, to me it's automatic.

What are your thoughts on the new goalie coach?

I think before the Badgers play another game on Yost ice they should get clarity on just exactly how many secret clocks might be in use to enable last second home team goals.
