Nice series preview video. Well done by the athletic department. I don't remember them doing that kind of video as a preview to a series, usually just afterwards. Of course, maybe I haven't been looking hard enough.

Time for the streak to end. I don't care if it's a 1-0 win on a goal from a fluke bounce off a skate. Whatever it takes.

I agree 10000%.

Tickets are still available for Saturday (don't know about tonight), I bought 2 more this am. They have a special running, buy 1 get one free. But you have to be a resident of WI and cannot present the ticket for entry wearing any urine colored clothes or they will not let you in.

It's A Great Day For Hockey.

Over the past three seasons, Minnesota is 113-7-3 (.931) overall. You can count the number of schools to vanquish the Gophers on one hand (UW, Bemidji State, Clarkson and Minnesota-Duluth).

He's missing North Dakota, which has done the most vanquishing. The pendulum goes beyond the previous nine seasons, because Minnesota owned the first six years.

I'll grant you that, but it felt a little less frustrating back then as Wisconsin was ramping up the program from scratch. I remember all too well the days of Wendell and Darwitz coming into Madison and just dominating. Wasn't 100% sure that the Badgers could bring in the elite talent to compete in the long-term. Fortunately, I was wrong.

This sounds a little like typical Wisconsin voter...uh, I mean fan suppression. ;)

I'm just trying to figure out the pattern. Are we going to stay with six-year cycles, or is it going to flip after three years now.

I'm all for Voter ID, but that's another thread in another forum. I can't wait for the 1 way toll booths to get set up at the MN and IL borders too.

I hope the gals aren't too focused on ending the streak and play nice and loose.

I'm told that the athletic department is the party that is keeping the band from playing at games. Plenty of band members want to play at women's hockey rather than women's basketball, and there are issues with having a director (even though students have done it before at WCHA tournament games). Oof. Talk about a phantom call. Unless one of those Badgers on the ice had an extra invisible pair of arms holding an invisible stick.

Penalties are just 1-1 so you can't complain too much! ;)

Please....that has little to do with anything. If team A earns 20 penalties and team B earns none, and it's all called properly, it'll be a HUGE discrepancy between the two teams.

After 2 periods, I'd say this is about as good as you can expect from WCHA women's refs. That one phantom hook was the only one that stood out to me. Of course, the Badgers haven't converted on any of their power plays. Plenty of good setups, no finishes. UW still has yet to really break the Gopher D.
