Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

There are about 12 tickets still available for Friday's game.

They're over 12,000 in ticket sales for Fill the Bowl. As I said before, 800 lower level seats are blocked off for students, but if the general admission seats aren't sold out yet, students after the first 800 will still get in for free, but they'll just get general admission tickets.

I was told back in January that their goal was to break 14,000. Now they are expecting a sellout.

Awesome news, I was wondering how the ticket sales were going.

If only 12 are available for tomorrow, that will easily sell with walk-up.

I will be pleasantly surprised if 800 students show up. Will the Badgers be shooting on the end they are at twice? Unfortunately, due to logistics, it's usually the opposite when they played at Kohl.

I don't see how they don't break the record on Saturday. It's #1 vs. #2, the biggest rival in Minnesota, last regular season home game of the year and the UW has been promoting this game hard for months.

At most, they only need a few hundred more tickets sold (or students walking up) to break the record. They expect a large walk-up crowd, which makes sense from the first two Fill the Bowl games. My friend in the ticket office said he came in this morning and they had sold hundreds of tickets just this morning.

That's cool that tickets are moving at that pace this close to the game.

I purchased 14 reserved tickets in the fall and will have almost all my in-laws at the game. Most haven't been to a women's hockey game before and for some, it will be their first hockey game all together.

even more perplexing is the fact that it is actually Cardinal, not red, and few Badger fans seem to know it

Normally, it wouldn't have even registered with me, but the UW preview article on this weekend's series mentions 'the Cardinal and White', and on the UW radio broadcast of the Badger-Gopher mens BB game, the announcer described the Badgers' uniforms as 'white with cardinal trim'. :-)

If you're a Badger fan, chanting "Let's go Cardinal" just doesn't have the right ring to it. And as a Gopher fan, and a tad colorblind at that, when I see the Badgers come out onto the ice, all I see is RED!

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

University just announced that Fill the Bowl is officially sold out, which is pretty darn spectacular.

Edit: Good time to add that my friends stink so I have 6 extras for tomorrow - good seats, too - 109, row B. I'll be at the game tonight and in Madison by 5:15 tomorrow for exchange purposes. Easiest way to let me know is on Twitter @nicolehaase

WOW!

(I've been watching Craigslist-Madison for the heck of it, and there haven't been any tickets being offered there... until this morning. Right now, there are four (at $1). If anyone is looking for tickets, that one place to check.)

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

To those who are going to the game and have extra tickets, you shouldn't have a problem unloading them around Kohl before the game. If nothing else, there are always people who didn't know it was sold out and will show up looking to buy tickets.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

Of course, now 800 students need to show up to bring the attendance up to capacity.

I sent you a direct message on twitter about that. My apartment's poltergeist stole the one I had, which I agreed to give to another fan.

Edit: Found it. Stupid poltergeist.

Pretty freaking cool to say the least. I hope they do the cool intro montage. Will the band be there? Please say yes!

I'm a little bummed that sr parents night is tonight vs tomorrow. It would have been great to acknowledge this great Sr. class in front of the packed KC. Hopefully the gals aren't distracted by all the special events this weekend.

I'm a little bummed the ncaa tickets are $10/$5, but they will be worth every penny. They were probably that a few years ago and I have forgotten about it.

Bring it rodents - I'm ready to destroy my vocal cords this weekend.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

I've heard directly from the athletic department that the band will be there on Saturday. If they weren't doing Fill the Bowl, not sure we'd ever see them at a women's game again.

NCAA tickets have usually been $10. When they played at Kohl, they also charged for parking near the arena. That also looks to be the case tomorrow night. Hopefully, it won't be $15 for the nearby lots like it is for the men's games.

They always have the band at the WCHA playoff series. Also for the NCAA quarterfinal games, but they have to act like they travelled to a neutral site game.

The post-season ticket announcement I got in the mail yesterday said that parking will be $8 for Friday and Saturday's WCHA Playoff games, so I'd hope they wouldn't charge more than that tomorrow.

Sunday's "if necessary" game would have the usual free parking, they say they are charging on Fri/Sat because of Wrestling going on at the same time.
