No **** sherlock I mean how far. No way we win final five. But I asked what we need
to do happen not to do for a automatic bid.
Relax, buddy. I guess you're just not up on your entertainment news, particularly regarding recently-fired actors from hit CBS sitcoms.

Honestly, it is probable that that the Badgers actually need to win the F5 to get in, particularly if any upset tournament champions happen in other conferences. They have zero margin for error at this point.

Sweep? Not gonna happen. You're facing a team of F-18's, bro.

CC is gonna roll 4 lines. Bring it, dude. :D

I wouldnt be so confident. If it hadnt been for that epic collapse on Friday, the Badgers would have swept CC last weekend. CC can roll 4 lines all they want and its still going to be a tough game for either team to win.

Not sure if Exile on Dayton Street even reads these boards any more but I'm sure he, and anyone who remembers this would find it funny. Former St. Cloud goalie Bobby Goepfert is on twitter and he made a comment about Alex Trabek being cocky and if he really would know the answers if he didn't have them in front of him. I made a snarky comment @ Bobby asking if he thinks Trebek cites his sources. He immediately fired back, "hahaha well if he did, he'd obviously be smarter than me."

He proceeded to inform me that "Funniest thing ever was the student section song about me in Wisco! Hilarious man, I was laughing on the ice!"

The song if you don't remember went something like, (in a mary had a little lamb tone) "Goepfert is a Plagiarist, plagiarist, plagiarist, Goepfert is a plagiarist he got kicked out of school."

Priceless

Ah yes, some of my fondest student section memories.

"Cite you sourc-es. Da da, da da da." :D

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2010-2011, The next generation.

Good game from Wisconsin tonight. I watched it on B2. the 4th line played REALLY well tonight, especially Jefferson Dahl (who I notice was rewarded for his efforts late in the game by playing the pk w/about 4mins left) and Keegan Meuer.

Joe Faust had moments of greatness and moments of uh oh please move the puck quicker.

all in all UW did what they had to do. Hopefully they can pull it off tomorrow as well.

Well, it was pretty obvious they were going to lose once it went to OT...they already have their OT win for the decade.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2010-2011, The next generation.

Would be nice to have a team that is confident going into the 3rd with a 1 goal lead...

:(

2-8-1 to end the season...yuck.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2010-2011, The next generation.

21-16-4. A better record than I expected (much better actually). I shouldn't be disappointed but I am. The last 6-7 weeks were lousy hockey and sort of inexcusable. There's no reason to ride 5 players for 30mins a game and wear them out. Use the guys you brought in (frosh and sophs not named zengerle and schultz) not only to give them minutes of experience to benefit next season but to benefit them and the team now.

for next season I'm not sure what to expect out of guys like Woods, Lapic etc. I hope Derek Lee steps up, and guys like Mersch, Barnes can find another level.

Craig Smith, Jordy Murray, and Justin Schultz are the flight risks now. I'd guess only 1 of these 3 will be back.

I think they just ran out of gas. Hard to replace the players they lost and still have enough depth at the end of the WCHA grind.

All in all, I think they were enjoyable to watch this season. I look forward to better things next year.

**** Off-season threads.

We just need to carry this thread through to 1000 posts, then start a new thread that is:

Wisconsin Hockey: [insert witty subtitle]

Very simple, very clean. No need to start a new thread after the season, no need to debate when the off-season thread ends.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2010-2011, The next generation.

Congrats to you guys on a great transitional season. You lost a ton of guys. Certainly, you didn't think you'd have the same kind of season as last year?

Thanks for helping us to set our school's all time single game attendance record this year. Seriously. How many schools can even offer up the opportunity to have a crowd north of 15,000? Looking forward to coming up there next season to the Kohl Center.

We all love Barry Alvarez. As far as I am concerned, you are the closest thing we have to brethern in this league.

Classy post, thanks. We'll see you up here next year.

Regarding an off season thread; if "you" start one, I will hunt you down, string you up on a net without gear on, and have Zdeno Chara take slap shots at your ****ing body.

So I'm just curious; who will you be rooting for to go all the way? Personally if we don't get in, I usually pull for NoDak.

Somebody should probably start up a new Badger thread sooner rather than later, so some idiot doesn't get forced to do so after this one is closed...
