Wisconsin Badger 2025 Offseason

When did that end?

Saw on the Tweeder that PSU is throwing around quarter mil offers to chl guys.
Yeah, I can guarantee Hastings doesn't have that kind of coin. I wonder where PSU is getting the money for hockey?

I also wonder if Hastings went out and promoted a specific NIL for hockey if he would get some money from the alumni and fan base?

Probably same guy whose name is on the rink. They do have a NIL group called "Happy Valley United".

Certainly alum like Pavs and Suter could plant some seed money into a UW hockey NIL fund. If I were independently wealthy you can bet you bottom dollar I'd be a major contributor.

It's been known about for a little while now, but now official with Minnesota State's schedule release: series will take place October 16/17 at KC. Worth noting these days are Thursday and Friday with home football Saturday.

Will be an exciting series, obviously a lot of player / coaching overlap. Not sure how strong their lineup will be after offseason departures, their goalie Tracy is quite good.

Any other non conference series confirmed? Besides the holiday tournament

I read a great long form article about Montgomery, I can't recall the source. It made me pretty excited to see him at UW.

Oliver Tulk's points with the Hitmen by year: 19, 60, 80, 100. +40 this year. He has to be a legit Fr of the year candidate. Is there anyone who is compatible on other team or who has played for UW? Would Turris be comparable? He was 72 / 121 points as a younger guy, 16 / 17 year old I'm guessing for Barnaby. Tulk hit 100 as a 20 yr old.

I am tempering my expectations this year, just based on the cluster this past year. I have hope it was a one-year dip and we move forward this fall! I am wondering when the schedule will be released.

I see they have new season ticket applications open, but haven't sent renewals yet, which seems bass ackwards.

Tickets....The Athletic Dept. is doing a lot of backwards things under McIntosh.

Expectations...is making the ncaa's too tall of a task for this upcoming year? I'm not saying win the B31, just get an at large bid.

Was Hauser injured? He only played in 1 game for Calgary in the playoffs (game 1 of the 2nd round, lost 4-0) while Anders Miller played in the other 10 games.

Yes, upper body injury if I remember correctly. Hopefully just a minor issue that won't nag into the summer and fall. Think with a healthy Hauser Calgary would've made a deeper playoff run, I was rooting for them with the two future badgers.

I personally feel a bit better about the talent on the roster this upcoming year compared to last, there's a good core returning, plus exciting newcomers like Tulk, Montgomery, Osburn, etc. Goaltending is a bit of a question mark - some talent between the 3 guys but very little experience.

My concern for the season is with the other teams the Badgers will play. First and foremost, the team has to be better against OOC competition, that's been frankly inexcusable the past few years. The Big Ten will also be very good again. MSU and Penn State have loaded rosters, Michigan will have as much young talent as ever, OSU will be solid again, and I think Notre Dame will improve. I will say Minnesota's roster seems pretty weak compared to past years, added a few names in the portal but overall I think they take a step back.

Long story short, it's my opinion the team could have a successful season but needs to be better against the bad OOC teams to give us a better cushion for the B10 gauntlet.

I see the article about season tickets, but you can't actually sign up for them anywhere. It's kind of crazy. There's no link anywhere to do it.
