Minnesota State is pulling Murdoch.

Badgers on their 7th power play of the night, 5th of the period.

Now headed to the 8th power play.... The wheels have come off for Mankato.

I take it their two frosh goalies aren't playing the best? :eek:

Heyo!

I'm around. I pop in from time to time to read, but usually don't have much to say. I certainly have nothing groundbreaking to contribute to the season thread, and for games, I'm either trying to be at them (I was at both games vs. CC) or... sitting home trying to listen/watch online.

The more 6-0 leads we get, the more I'm gonna post! :D

Thanks for the updates, all. I was not expecting a performance like this after last weekend. Gotta say that it is encouraging. It would be awesome to get 4 points up there this weekend.

2nd period UW summary.

The period was pretty even 5 on 5, but not much flow. The 1st period was race horse hockey. The 5th goal for UW was a toss out front from the corner by Turnbull. The puck hit the goalie's skate and went in. The 6th goal was a super soft and gushy goal on wrist shot from the blue line from a D, I didn't catch his number.

Schultz had a really nice skate to the middle to draw the kato player towards the middle, then spun around backwards towards the boards and walked in and had a scoring chance.

Davies had one heck of a great hit on a Kato player. He skated to him face to face and pushed him down with his hands at shoulder height, just crushed him. I think it was a bad call.

There was another play where the kato guy fell down at the boards and UW got a penalty.

I hate to sound like a homer, but all the kato penalties seemed pretty legit, except for maybe the last one they called on.

We all know the refs will even up the penalties somewhat in the 3rd, even though UW will still be on the pp at the start of the 3rd.
