2-2 Final, DU steals a point form the Badgers who had a 2-0 lead in the 3rd period. A nice 3 point weekend for the Pios.

Jay made one good point: we had several games like this last year where we were being outshot and outplayed but won because of Chevy. Tonight Gudmundson almost returned the favor. Tie is disappointing given DU's huge shots and positional advantage. But coming from behind to take a point against a good team is alway rewarding. Each of these first five series, most of us were hoping for a split. Well, 3 points tonight and 3 against Vermont. BC another story altogether. we'd better be ready next week, the toothless guys with the green wigs will be loaded for bear.

Oh, and the Pios kept that lethal PP off the ice for the most part and on several occasions didn't respond to provocations that would have put them in the box. That one play by Zucker won't show on the score sheet but the Bucky goon was chasing him around behind the cage, trying his best to goad him into a penalty. Little things can mean a whole lot.

Jeez, my cup runneth over. ND gets handled and OU's about to go down. Trailing 36-27 with a minute to go, and oh yes, Mizzou's got the ball. Historically OU's the biggest gangster program of all time. Remember a few years ago some of their players were involved in a drive by shooting, on campus. Priceless.

I'm getting the feeling that I might have been right with my prediction that this team might outperform our expectations. You can file that under "even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and again." 'Course I say that before we maybe run into a buzzsaw in Grand Forks. Oh well, they impress me as playing better than we thought anyway.
