Wisconsin at Colorado College - 01/15/10

Re: Wisconsin at Colorado College - 01/15/10

It really boggles the mind.

Cost for season tickets at the KC: 18/game.

Cost for a single game ticket at the KC: 22/game

Cost for a single Camp Randall ticket: 25/game

UW's pricing was clearly going for a revenue maximizing price (hence why they're charging a premium) for a game with 60,000 extra seats compared to your usual game at the KC.

Supply. Demand. Someone send the AD a note, please.

Worst part (for me, selfishly) is the place ends up being half empty and the atmosphere isn't nearly as great as it could otherwise be.

It also would have helped if they were playing Minnesota (I'm guessing we'd get 5,000-10,000 Gopher fans) instead of Michigan (probably not even 1,000?).

I think we figured out Howe...

Prosser going to the box for CC. Roughing is the call. 12:16 into the 2nd.

A little four-play coming up. Craig Smith goes off for Wisconsin, I missed who the CC player is.

They'll give away a ton of tickets, or sell them cheap at the Madison area Culvers the week before the game. I'm going to be disappointed if we don't come close to filling it though. I'm doing my part, I'll be there.

Unfortunately the Purple Cows couldn't pull it off against UMD tonight. 2-1 Bulldogs the final.

To be fair, a women's ticket is like $6. So a men's game and a women's game would cost $28 total. You get to see a men's and women's game for $25 played in outdoors at one of the oldest football stadiums in the country. Plus all of the extra event's on Friday and before/during the games.

Also, Culver's is giving out vouchers with a code to use online that can be used to purchase 2 tickets for $10 each. 2 tickets that get you two games for a combined price less than a single men's ticket. You can't ask for much more than that.

The thing that bothers me is the lack of advertising. I've seen one television commercial (and a pretty crappy one at that) shown sparingly. I've heard one radio commercial every few (though I listen to the radio a lot less than I watch TV).
