You know this is a hockey thread right? Not a political thread?
You do also understand that the University of Wisconsin Badgers are based in Madison right?
Uhm, You’ve heard of sarcasm?

I'm not so naive to not understand how important football is to the larger athletic department budget, but you'd think this many years into being the Athletic Director, and not Football Director, Barry would be a little less transparent in his disdain and lack of any caring about any of the other sports when talking to a reporter.
"Football is back on the fall schedule at the University of Wisconsin but it doesn't appear that competition will resume so quickly for other fall sports.
Athletic director Barry Alvarez said Wednesday that, while no firm decisions had been made, he didn't see Badgers volleyball, soccer and cross country teams returning to a fall schedule.
Alvarez said he has been working on football's return to play, which the Big Ten announced Wednesday, and didn't have specifics on the other fall sports. The league said football games will begin the weekend of Oct. 23-24."
Knowing that there will now be criticism of the return to play plan reversal, you'd think he'd at least be aware that most of that criticism would be "this isn't about athletes, it is about football money." And, he probably shouldn't have basically said that himself.

Madison Caps are dead for a year. The Commies at the Dane County level allow dorms to get filled with 1000's and 1000's of kids from all over the country but the Madison Caps can't play hockey in an empty rink? We all know what happens in those dorms is 1000% more risky than what happens at the rink. And wait, Football is ok to play but hockey isn't? I'm mean there is no consistency in the decisions other than money talks. Complete insanity. But wait, it is Madistan after all, right? In Communism we're all equal, right? Think again comrades.
Saw this mentioned on Todd Mileswki's twitter. Wouldn't surprise me if Caufield left.
I’m surprised he’s still there honestly. His ego/selfish play and lack of awareness for defense (I.e. being a well rounded player) is astounding.
he’s not Pavelski or Heatley by a long shot. Much closer to the primadonna Robbie Earl.
he won’t be able to forego defense to look for accepting home run passes nor sit at one side of the net just waiting for a one timer all day on the pp in the Show. He’ll get crushed.
Those things were in my head, but I was trying not to be too negative! You took care of that for me!

Agree. I was on board with many of you last season hoping he would leave.
