Castleton has a nice drive up Mendon Mountain via Route 4 and 107 to I89 on the way to Northfield. If they are going to hold the game I wonder if Castleton will arrive in the Montpelier Area Thrusday night. Lodging in the Northfield area is nil. I am all set for winter camping so if I go the zero down sleeping bag and themal pad goes too.

Middlebury to Williams is a flat road via Route 7 which in most area's is good as an interstate.

Norm I bet you don't drive your sports car on Vermont roads in the winter?

The Capital Plaza in Montpelier is not too far. Very nice hotel.

Right! Does anybody remember the night the Cards were playing Babson in a playoff game, way back when, and there must have been 3 feet of snow and just a terrible storm. After the game, our car was completley buried! They even thought that the teams would spend the night at the Fieldhouse. We made the trip home,20+ miles then. What a night!!!

Although I never stayed overnight, I Attended many General Motors meetings there. They have great food. The only pain is having to go inside to get a parking permit and then going back to the car to place it on your dashboard. Better than a parking ticket and tow!!

Sounds like a large degree of caution being applied here. With so little time left before the playoffs start, and most leagues using the travel partner schedule algorithm, this could create a bit of chaos. I gather this is supposed to be a big one.

In our case, we didn't have a choice. Northeastern is closing the rink on Saturday so we couldn't play even if we wanted to.

At least you don't have a travel partner to worry about, but it would seem a challenge to fit in make up dates

If things go to heck in a handbasket up (over?) there, there is the possibility of moving Friday to Sunday and playing Saturday a bit later to let the road crews do their thing.

Salem State did that when the SSC-STA game was ppd and played @ STA on Sunday. We still played NEC on Saturday. USM was not amused as they played NEC on Friday and ran into a fresh STA's on Saturday.

The Friday men's and women's games between Middlebury and Williams have been rescheduled for Sunday afternoon, and the Saturday games have been moved up from 7:00 to 4:00.

USM has moved both games this weekend:


USM vs U-Mass Boston Sunday @ 7 and then USM vs Babson Monday @3 pm
