Why does USCHO hate singalongs?

Re: Why does USCHO hate singalongs?

Why doesn't anyone dress like the Bay City Rollers nowadays?
Every Saturday the Munn crowd's expected to sway to "It's nine o'clock on a Saturday yada yada yada" I think it would be terrifically more upbeat if we could chant "S .. A .. T-U-R .. D-A-Y ... night!"

Scorland's energy consumption went down 10% when they put their hairdriers away.

Re: Why does USCHO hate singalongs?

....welcome to the Cafe.

Here lies "Why does USCHO hate singalongs?" Like the phoenix, it was reborn from the ashes of a past singalong thread. 'Twas a great thread -- a place where all could go to sing their hearts out and be merry during this most wonderful time of the year. Like any thread, it faced its fair share of turmoil during its time in the Division I forum, highlighted by a heated debate over the merits of the band Journey. But in the end, all who knew "Why does USCHO hate singalongs?" and all who experienced the camaraderie resulting from masses of posters coming together to sing a song one post at a time will never forget the joy it brought to their lives, however short-lived its stay in Division I was. We are now left with nothing to do but pray that someday soon another singalong will rise from this thread's ashes and bring happiness back to Division I. The Lord knows that place needs it, what with all the BC-UVM flamefests and disgruntled fans ranging from Orono to the Twin Cities calling for their coaches' heads. It is with that hope that the cheerful singalong will someday rise again that we now lay to rest "Why does USCHO hate singalongs?" Having been relegated from Division I, where the eyes of many could soak in its beauty, to the Cafe, where it will most certainly no longer be followed with any frequency, I ask that you keep this thread in your thoughts and pray with me that the lack of a singalong in Division I will only be a short-term void. Amen.

I have the song refrain "you can ring my behhh-ellllllll, Ring my bell" in my head. I do not know any oof the other lines. It has been there for 5 days. (after seeing an awesome hit in hockey)

I'm glad you're home
Now did you really miss me
I guess you did by the look in your eyes (look in your eyes, look in your eyes)
Well lay back and relax while I put away the dishes (put away the dishes)
Then you and me can rock-a-bye

You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell

The night is young and full of possibilities
Well come on and let yourself be free
My love for you, so long than I've been savin'
Tonight was made for me and you

You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell

you can ring my bell, you can ring my bell
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong)
you can ring my bell, you can ring my bell
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong, ring it!)
you can ring my bell, anytime, anyway
(ring it, ring it, ring it, ring it oww!)
you can ring my bell, anytime, anyway
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong)

you can ring my bell, you can ring my bell
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong)
you can ring my bell, you can ring my bell
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong, ring it!)
you can ring my bell, anytime, anyway
(ring it, ring it, ring it, ring it oww!)
you can ring my bell, anytime, anyway
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong)

Re: Why does USCHO hate singalongs?

It was I, and you need to start becoming a fan because every true Tech fan lives by this song.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that "Don't Stop Believin'" has become too popular recently and has reached the point of fad that it's about as lame as Rick Rollin' was after Rick Astley sang it in the Macy's parade last year?

I liked the song, but it's just overkill now.

Unlike bacon. Bacon has become very popular to many people, but its delicious goodness can not be undone by popularity.

It's getting there, sadly. I mean, some traditions involving that song will never die, but I think it is getting a bit overdone.
I can foresee that backing off for a while, then resurfacing in about 10 years or so when someone "discovers" that song.

Re: Why does USCHO hate singalongs?

Re: Why does USCHO hate singalongs?

This thread needs more sing-a-long.

Let's see if anyone wants to sing this one with me:

Well I walk into the room, passin' out hundred dollar bills
And it kills and it thrills like the horns on my Silverado grille...
