WHEA Tournament

Re: WHEA Tournament

So it seems there is no video stream or tv live as the game is played on the East Coast?

The WHEA web site and the BU web site say video can be found through http://www.americansportsnet.com and the specific link that web site shows is http://www.americansportsnet.com/130-p-m-womens-hockey-east-championship/ ... but that link isn't working. They also claim live cable TV, but not on any channel I get. Click "schedule" and then put your zip code into the search at that web site and see what it tells you.

Re: WHEA Tournament

Familiar voice doing the play by play

Who is it doing color, I recognize that voice as well.

Play by play is maybe Beth Mowins (who I know from doing ESPN college football)

Color is definitely AJ Mleczko

Re: WHEA Tournament

Congrats to Boston College for another success on their revenge tour, a 5-0 win over Boston University in the Hockey East Championship. Three more wins to equal Minnesota's feat from 2013. Next up is Princeton. Watch out for BU next year. O'Neil played very well in what parts of the game I saw.

Re: WHEA Tournament

Not that it matters at this point, but from the video it appears that Carpenter was offside on the third goal.

Noticed that. It was close. I was thinking of slowing down the replay when I get home and seeing if I can tell if she really was.

If it were NHL linesmen, it wouldn't have mattered. A clearly offside play in the Minnesota-St. Louis game last night was still allowed to stand even after review.

The first view it looked off. The view from behind was much closer. WCHA refs would have blown it, because they call everything close, especially if the entry isn't smooth like this one, where Skarupa slightly bobbled and Carpenter had to wait.
