For anyone into electronic dance music/dub step look into Big Gigantic. Saw them live last night and they are amazing. Best $2 i ever spent

Dusted off "April" by VAST; it's not a totally bad record. There are some gems on there, such as "I Am A Vampire" and "Take Me With You," but it lacks the punch of their self-titled debut or Music For People.

Tailgates and Tanlines is a pretty good CD...not as good as CHIEF, but not much, if anything, is.

Finally listened to King of Limbs from Radiohead this morning. Much like Amnesiac, this one will grow on me...

A rare "grunge" instrumental:

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

Is there a way to convert songs I've downloaded via iTunes in AAC format to MP3 or MPEg or whatever? While I can still add these songs to my iPod, I can't burn them onto a CD in MP3 whereas I can with songs downloaded via Media Player. I've been trying to find a way in preferences or whatever and haven't found a way yet.

Got Wilco's new album The Whole Love last week through pre-order. It is Awesome! Has a great combo of some experimental stuff and some more folk rock type stuff. I have the double cd limited set but actually havent listened to the bonus tracks yet. Still taking in the main album. I definetly feel like they took their time deciding on the order of the songs so that they make sense and just feel right. There are a few songs on there that I cant wait to hear live someday (hopefully see them next summer or fall if they are on tour). Because Im such a huge fan and love spreading their music Ive posted a few of those songs below. Enjoy!

R.E.M. live at Olympia. I never felt they were the same after Bill Berry left, but this live record presents them at about their best considering when it was recorded. No frills pop with excellent lyrical content not found in most bands since.

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

My brother posted a question recently on his status on facebook asking if there was a band whose songs consistently described your life, IE their songs almost seem to be written about you or resonate with you for some other reason, etc. His answer and mine were both the same (Wilco...which given my last entry in this thread is not suprising). Ive got my itunes on shuffle right now and a song came up that seems to be describing my life for like the past 8 months (video below). It may sound cliche but when I am feeling down about things I can put on Wilco and listen to a few songs and forget about that stuff and feel a bit better.

(Sky Blue Sky album cover is shown but its actually from Wilco (The Album))
