What the Fark???

Re: What the Fark???

I wiped out a few things in my days as a forklift driver at Sam's Club - most notably a skid of Smuckers grape jelly... but I've got nothing on this:

Forklift mishap destroys $1m of shiraz wine

More than A$1m ($1.07m; £664,000) of wine has been destroyed in a forklift accident in Australia.

The 2010 Mollydooker Velvet Glove shiraz sells for A$185 a bottle ($199; £122), the AFP news agency said.

Winemaker Sparky Marquis told reporters he was "gut-wrenched" that 462 cases of wine had been smashed while being loaded for export to the United States.

"When they opened up the container they said it was like a murder scene," he said. "But it smelled phenomenal."

Calif. Man Attempts Hernia Surgery on Self With Butter Knife
GLENDALE, Calif. – A man stuck a butter knife into his belly in a failed bid at self-surgery to remove a painful hernia, police said Tuesday.

The wife of the 63-year-old Glendale man called paramedics on Sunday night and told the emergency operator her husband was using a knife to remove a protruding hernia, Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

"She said he had impaled himself with a knife," Lorenz said.

Officers found the man naked on a patio lounge chair outside his apartment with a 6-inch (15-centimeter) butter knife sticking out of his stomach.

The man's wife told officers that her husband was upset about the hernia and wanted to take it out.

While waiting for paramedics, the sergeant said, the man pulled out the knife and stuffed a cigarette he was smoking into the bleeding, open wound.

Woman gets traffic ticket for displaying "big plastic testicles on the back of her pickup truck".

A jury will decide if a woman who got a hefty traffic ticket for displaying big plastic testicles on the back of her pickup truck violated the state's obscene bumper sticker law.

Virginia Tice, a local resident, planned to appear in traffic court Tuesday to ask for a jury trial if the judge didn't drop the charges. As it turned out, Police Chief Franco Fuda beat her to the punch. Fuda asked for a jury trial before Tice had a chance to appear before the judge...
Tice was given a $445 ticket July 5 after pulling her pickup truck with big red fake testicles hanging from the trailer hitch into a gas station. They're called Bulls Balls and are bigger and more expensive than the popular Truck Nutz.

Bulls Balls.

Truck nuts.

Last two links obviously not great for work. I've never even heard of or seen these, but it appears to be a booming business.

Re: What the Fark???

I've seen many of those. They're sweet.

How can bull testicles be offensive? Drive through the country and you can see real bull ballsack...still not obscene.

Re: What the Fark???

I have seen these. Dumb. Stupid. Dumb.

I've seen these too. However, they are not a bumper sticker. So why the ticket? Someone needs to find the fine print. I also think they are incredibly stupid and not original (same with the aforementioned-in-the-article Calvin Urinating stickers), but at least the Calvin stickers would presumably fall under this law (stupid law, too; free speech in this case is correct).

Sorta-related: had a "Fukengruven" (umlaut over the second "u") bumper sticker on my first car. Never had a problem with it, and I was definitely targeted in that car (the Deadmobile, with a "Steal Your Face:"

logo on the hood of the car. Took up the whole hood.
