What the Fark???

Re: What the Fark???

It was a 1966 Chevy Bel Air straight 250 cu in 6 with a 2 speed auto transmission. We lived in NJ then and nobody had block heaters in NJ. After that winter I bought the biggest battery with the best cold cranking amps that I could find. That baby would start a Caddy at the North Pole.

Gotcha.

Re: What the Fark???

You seem to be in favor of denying Christ's existence yet not in favor of denying climate change. Do I have that right?

I'm not in favor of denying Jesus' historical existence at all. But I love a good cripple fight.

Wow. Where did you go to school? I want to make sure anyone I know avoids it like the plague.

People get vilified for denying both, right? Frankly these days you're more guilty these days of apostasy if you deny climate change rather than Christ.

Sad isn't it?

Apostasy, does that have something to do with not using the post office? If that's the case, then I'm certainly apostasympathetic.

No. It's logical.

You should do some reading on Galileo. One of my favorite people from history. You might learn something.

The best part is, Galileo won: the Catholic Church accepts both evolution and climate change (not to mention heliocentrism) -- they understand the difference between faith and closing your eyes and pulling the covers over your head. The problem is not religiosity, it's fundamentalism (with a very large side order of corporate disinformation).

True faith is strong enough to deal with facts. It's only false faith and cowardice that have to resort to lies and fakery. It's like the nervous, sweating, guilt-wracked man who has to demand that all women cover themselves because he has evil thoughts. The girls aint the problem, dude: it's you.

And if you deny ANYTHING, then you absolutely, positively must deny EVERYTHING or else you are a stone cold hypocrite. Amirite?

No, it isn't. There have been non-believers since the time of Christ and your attempts to conflate the denial of each separate issue is another example in a long lost of them for why the GOP is a hot mess. I leave my religion at home, so should our leaders. Imagine if ISIS didn't feel the need to frame everything by their religion?
