Wayyyyy back in the day, a chain called Title Wave charged $70+. Not. Kidding. Called it "a futures rental fee loss." It was bullsh*. No, never fell victim to it.

There was one in Bloomington and were the first place to offer both used CDs as well as listening stations. Bought the original Stone Roses on vinyl there before they were known.

Hot Pockets might have diseased animal meat in them

I thought they were poison... this just confirms it.

Warning: You just ate a hot pocket.

Fox had a rain delay at the Daytona 500 today, so to fill the time they rebroadcast the 2013 race. They ran a graphic across the bottom of the screen alerting viewers that it was a repeat, not live.
That didn't stop a bunch of morons tweeting about it as if it were live - and even ESPN and Faux "News" were fooled. Faux "News" going so far as to post online that Jimmie Johnson won the race, making him a three-time winner.
Deadspin was all over it.

And the world-wide death toll from marijuana overdoses still stands at...0.

Many years ago,a friend of mine showed me a study that said "for cats, there is no known lethal dosage of marijuana." he was laughing about the implications of that study for research methodology.

Is everyone now starting to lose their minds?

this is nuts!

Brooklyn’s hipster beard craze has grown so popular that men in New York are rushing to doctors for “facial hair transplants” — surgery that helps make beards look thicker and less patchy, sources said.

Stubble-challenged guys are forking over up to $8,500 for the beard-boosting procedure, which has spiked in popularity in recent months, plastic surgeons told The Post.

“Brooklyn is probably the nucleus of the trend, it’s the hipster ‘look’ guys want. If you have a spotty beard, and you let it grow out, it looks sloppy, ” said Dr. Jeffrey Epstein, a Midtown-based plastic surgeon.

“[Clients] want full beards because it’s a masculine look. Beards are an important male identifier,” he added.

Epstein performs two or three beard implants per week — up from just a handful each year a couple years ago, he said

There was a story on Fark that the latest hipster trend is "normcore." It involves...wearing normal clothes.

At this rate I'm going to have to start wearing Ren Faire outfits or a chicken suit or something everywhere to dodge hipsterdom.
