What the Fark 3: The Strange and Unusual

Re: What the Fark 3: The Strange and Unusual

All slot machines say a machine malfunction voids the payout, and there are very few machines which pay anything close to $42 million for a jackpot; most have a jackpot of about 1,000 to 10,000 times the bet (which may be increased by multiple lines being played at once). Even progressive jackpots rarely get higher than the low six figures except for those that start at $1,000,000 - and those almost always pay off before they rise to $2,000,000.

Unless she was playing something like a $10 machine in the high roller area, she should've known it was a malfunction.
The average person - unless they're schooled in such things or an experienced gambler - won't know about the malfunction loophole, or have a strong grasp on the relative ceilings of progressive slot machines.

It takes a pretty big lapse of common sense to believe you can with 42 million dollars playing penny slots. :p

That's not completely true. The megabucks machines, which have had the biggest progressive payouts, are usually only a $1 machine, although you can play for more. They've had jackpots that approach $42 million. https://lasvegassun.com/news/2012/may/23/nine-biggest-las-vegas-jackpots/

Gee, it's almost like when I said "rarely" and "almost always" I was leaving room for those rare machines that do go that high...
You said that unless she was playing a $10 slot in the high roller area she should have known it was a malfunction. I disagree with that. $1 Megabucks machines are found all over casinos, not just in high roller areas, and they don't require $10/spin.

Can give admin rights to a few people strictly for the purpose of banning the a-holes that keep spamming the forum? Or at least remove their threads? It's become absurd.

Re: What the Fark 3: The Strange and Unusual

I wouldn't care so much about those if they fixed the bug where if you reply to a thread it unsubscribes you.

The Comments FTW.

Oh my god, normally local news comments are as bad as you can get. These are brilliant!
I bet she has no problems getting dates. She's like Houdini and Danica Patrick and probably looks good in tight slacks with the meth pipe hanging from her mouth.

Did she make it to the Trump rally?

I didn't know Alexandria was in Hazard County? She'll need another 90 miles per hour to get the record from 210 Tilley!
